Seroprevalance of toxoplasmosis on strayn dog in Ankara

Sera taken from 52 stray dogs gathered from Ankara streets were examined for anti-Toxoplasma gondii antibodies by FIA, SF and LA tests. 84.61%, 78.84%, and 48.07% of sera were positive by IFAT, SFDT and LAT respectively. IFA and SF tests superior in terms of sensitivity and positivity rates than the others. Thus, IFA and SF tests may be preferred over LAT in cases where a high sensitivity is needed
