Varieties Bersee, Cappelle - Desprez and Dwarf A with normal Triticum aestivum cytoplasm and in three different cytoplasms - Aegilops mutica, Aegilops variabilis and Aegilops squarrosa were tested in space planted experiment in four replicates for five years. The screening has been done for agronomically important characters, such as ear emergency, plant height, fertility and yield components and data for culm length are presented in this paper. The results showed significant differences between three tested varieties in studied character. The differences between varieties with normal cytoplasm are similar to those with any other cytoplasm (changes are almost always in the same direction). In three varieties values are described in Aegilops mutica cytoplasm, while in Aegilops variabilis or Aegilops squarrosa cytoplasm the values are on the level of those in Triticum aestivum cytoplasm. All values for culm length are highly significant, except the AB and ABC interaction values, that are significant. The differences between F values are significant or highly significant, due to rather small error, or due to rather small number for the degrees of freedom.
