Tendencies and projection in production development of plums and plum produces in Serbia [Yugoslavia]

In the time period from 1984 to 1993, production of plums and plum produces shows a tendency of increase, both, in whole Serbia (Yugoslavia) and particular regions also. In spite of that, plum production in Serbia (Yugoslavia) is relatively extensive, yet with small share per unit capacity. In these days, the placement problem of both, plums and prunes, becomes more current, especially at the international market. The consumers, because of the changed income, buy rather fresh and high quality fruit, than dried ones. By reason of that, it is to be taken series of necessary steps for keeping high quality level production and to improve quality of fruits and fruit produces, in accordance with demand and needs of foreign market, the first of all.
