Pseudopregnancy is a major factor of infertility in goats. In some goat herds, pseudopregnancy hinds the reproduction control specially in herds where breeding is out of season. Nowadays, diagnosis of this affection is done by ultrasonography after Day 40 after mating. We point out the use of a serological diagnosis technique based on a simultaneous determination of pregnancy-associated glycoprotein and progesterone in the maternal blood since Day 30 after mating.
