Taxonomy of hierarchical classification of the soils of Yugoslavia

A new classification with ten categories is proposed for the soils of Yugoslavia. The proposed classification is based on the principle that every characteristic property of soils always belongs to a single hierarchical rank, making it impossible for two different properties to be found in the same category.
