For storage of China aster seed, drying of flowers for one week in shade (up to 6.8% moisture), extracting the seed and storing it in cold storage (refrigerator) in sealed polyethylene bag was found to be most effective. The seed remained viable (78.95%) for more than a year compared to other storage methods kept at ambient temperatures of laboratory and sun-dried flowers.
