Study and Determination the most suitable plant Density of Promised forage sorghum varieties

In order to study of most suitable plant density of three promised forage sorghum varieties an experiment was conducted at ½Sarab changaeii½ Agriultural resarch station of Khorramabad city , Lorestan prorince for two years from 2001 to 2002. For this researeh , Three promised Forage sorghum KFSB1B( VB1B ) , KFSB2B( VB2B ) and KFSB3B( VB3B ) with Four plant desity 167000 ( DB1B ) , 208000 ( DB2B ), 287000( DB3B ) and417000 ( DB4B ) plant per hectar were compared a factorial design with three replication randomized complete block layout. Fresh and dry forage yield per hectar and protein percent were evaluated . The analysis of simple and multiple variance was run an results showed : In 2001 An ANOVA indicated signifcant fresh forage yield differences between cultivar at 1% , 5% probability level : but there was no significant differences between plant densities , and simple interaction between cultivar and density . The higher mean yield obtained from KFSB3B (VB3B =140.019 ) , DB2B=131.838 and VB1BDB2B=147.182 ton per hectar. In 2002 an ANOVA indicated significant fresh forage yield differences between cultivar ( same as previous year ) at 1%, 5% probability level , but there was no significant differnces between plant densities and simple interaction ( V × D) . The higher mean yield was obtained from KFSB3B (VB3B =156.3 ), DB2B=152.5 and VB1BDB2B=172.5 ton per hectar. Based on two years multiple varionces of fresh and dry forage yield and protein percent result show : Fresh Forage : There was signiricant differences between years and cultivars at 5% probability level . but there was no significant differences between plant densities and other simple interaction . the higher mean yield was obtained from second year ( 2002 ) 148.914 , KFSB3B ( 148.184 ), DB2B ( 152.543 ) , DB1B VB1B ( 159.828 ) ton per hectar. Dry Forage : only there was significant difference between years at 5% probability level . the higher mean yield was obtained from first year ( 24.883 ) , KFSB1 B ( 23.724 ), DB2B ( 23.865 ) and DB1B VB1B ( 27.185 ) ton per hectar. Protein percent : there was no significant differences between of all treatment The higher mean protein percent was obtained from second year, KFSB2B , DB3B and DB2B VB2B: 10.828% , 10.852% , 11, 114% and 12.05% respectively.
