The effect of aimed selection in several generations of different pig breeds on improvement of meat and fattening qualities is described. The researched pig breeds are: Large White, Belorussian Meaty, Black-and-Motley, Duroc. Mobility and correlation between economic useful features depending on breeding course is analyzed. Correlation coefficients of the fattening qualities of the yelts of different breedings (n=96) are calculated. The influence of maternal and paternal breeding belonging on the muscular area (n=71) is shown. Correlation coefficients between different carcass parameters and between meat and fat content of different swine breedings (n=56) are presented. It is determined that meat qualities of carcasses can be estimated with high reliability (P less than 0.01; P less than 0.001) concerning meat content in separate cuts, mostly in the back third part of half-carcass. The received results allow increase reproductive, fattening and meat qualities of the swine breeds.
