In this work the present perspectives of the possible alternative uses of Quercus pyrenaica Willd. coppices are commented, such as reforestation, clearing for agriculture, creation of range lands, transformation into high forests, potentiation of other uses, etc. The necessity of a correct planification as well as of a conservation policy emphasized.
