ABSTRACT: The purpose of this site-specific sampling and analysis plan (SAP) is to describe the procedures to be followed when collecting data in support of source reduction operations, long-term monitoring plan (LTMP), and remediation verification sampling for the risk-based approach to remediation at the MOGAS site at Myrtle Beach Air Force Base (AFB), South Carolina. Details on analytical requirements, desired quantitation (detection) limits, and proposed sampling locations are identified within Section 10 of the Corrective Action Plan (CAP) (Parsons ES, 1996). Specific quality assurance (QA) sampling requirements for the MOGAS site are summarized herein as part of the site-specific sampling procedures. These additional samples will be used to determine the precision, accuracy, completeness, and representativeness of the final data set. The remainder of Section 1 discusses data quality objectives. Soil gas sampling for bioventing and biosparging is described in Section 2; procedures for soil verification sampling are presented in Section 3; groundwater/ surface water sampling procedures are described in Section 4; and field quality assurance quality control (QA/QC) samples are described in Section 5. Section 6 describes field data reduction, validation, and reporting; Section 7 presents analytical procedures for groundwater/ surface water and soil verification sampling.
