Mostrar más [+] Menos [-]Since infectious pancreatic necrosis virus and infectious hematopoietic necrosis virus were first isolated in the 1970s, more than 20 fish viruses have been isolated and at least 5 viruses have been observed by electron microscopy. Viral diseases are major problems and cause economic losses among cultured fishes in Japan and other countries. This paper reports our current understanding of the extent of viral infection in the cultured fishes of Japan.
