A study to determine whether PFA and Ca-PFA can be used as energy sources for broiler chicken was carried out. Two hundred and eighty day old broiler chicks of the Starbostrain were alloted to 7 treatments with 5 replicates of 8 birds each. The results showed that inclusion of 10% and 15% PFA and Ca-PFA respectively in broiler diets improved broiler performance. Inclusion above these levels affected palatability of the ration leading to poor performance of broiler chicken.
