Use of The Biological Control Agent Insects Against Amaranthus (Amaranthaceae)Weeds in Turkey | Türkiye'de Amaranthus (Amaranthaceae) Türlerine Karşı Biyolojik Mücadelede Böceklerin Kullanımı

Inglés. Pigweeds, Amaranthus spp. (Amaranthaceae) species economically important at worldwide. Especially, Amaranthus retroflexus L. is one of the ten weed species of greatest economic importance in Europe and Turkey. To control of the species belonging this genus which are causing important problems in several agricultural crops land is inevitable. In doing so, the negative effects of chemical control on human and environmental health should be considered. For this purpose, biological control which is one of the suitable and safe methods in control should not be ignored. With this review, the situation of biological control studies with Amaranthus species which are very important position as weed in our country which has a rich insect fauna and the importance of examining this issue was ephasized as soon as possible.

Turco. Horoz ibiği türleri (Amaranthus spp.) dünyada ekonomik bakımdan oldukça önemli yabancı ot türleridir. Bu türlerden de özellikle Amaranthus retroflexus L. Avrupa ve Türkiye'de büyük öneme sahip 10 yabancı ot türünden birisidir. Çok değişik kültür bitkisi alanlarında önemli sorunlara neden olan bu cinse mensup türler ile mücadele edilmesi kaçınılmazdır. Bunu yaparken kimyasal mücadelenin insan ve çevre sağlığına olan olumsuz etkileri göz önünde bulundurulmalıdır. Bu amaçla, uygun ve güvenilir bir yöntem olan biyolojik mücadelenin göz ardı edilmemesi gereklidir. Bu derleme çalışması ile zengin böcek faunasına sahip olan ülkemizde, çok önemli bir yabancı ot grubu olan Amaranthus türleriyle biyolojik mücadele çalışmalarının durumu ve bu konunun bir an önce ele alınmasının önemi vurgulanmaya çalışılmıştır.
