In this study, the effects of Ferula elaeochytris (Korovin 1947) root powder on growth, feed evaluation and development of gonads in diets for goldfish (Carassius auratus L. 1758) was investigated. Four different experimental diets were prepared, with crude protein (36%), crude fat (8%) and energy (3650 kcal/kg digestible energy) being equal. Ferula elaeochytris root power was supplemented by 0 (Control group), 1, 5 and 10 g kg-1.. The experiment was carried out for a period of 84 days in 105 lt aquarium, planned according to the design of two replicate coincidence parcels as 30 fish in each group. Goldfish were fed the diets twice daily until they were full, which are initial weight of 7.555±0.024 g and length 7.518±0.130 cm. At the end of the research, growth parameters, feed evaluation parameters, hepatosomatic index, viscerosomatic index, gonadosomatic index, survival rate and histological findings were evaluated. There was no statistically difference between groups in terms of live weight gain, length growth, condition factor, mean live weight gain, percent live weight gain, specific growth rate, feed conversion ratio, protein efficiency ratio, hepatosomatic index, viscerosomatic index and gonadosomatic index (P>0.05). Feed consumption values were found to be different in groups (P<0.05). It was determined that the gonad histology of the female gold fish was different at the end of trial. No deaths occurred in the groups during the trial. As a result, there was no significant effect on the growth and feed conversion ratio of gold fish to be added to the diet.
