The research results of the aggressive and virulent properties of the pathogen of watery wound rot of potatoes (Solanum tuberosum) Pythiym ultimum Trow for the period 2017–2018 are given. It was found that when the tubers of varieties of different groups of ripeness were infected, the causative agent of wound watery rot of potatoes Pythium ultimum Trow had a high degree of virulence and aggressiveness, since no resistant varieties were observed among the analyzed varieties, and the degree of pathogen damage varied from relatively low to very strong for individual varieties. Analysis of the data on the aggressiveness of the pathogen on the tuberous discs indicates a high degree of aggressiveness of the oomycete, since in all three variants the presence of the maximum size of the lesion and the intensity of sporulation was noted. It has been established that the main reasons for the epiphytotic development of wound watery rot during storage are elevated temperature and the presence of infection of the oomycete Pythium ultimum Trow in tubers. / Представлены результаты изучения агрессивных и вирулентных свойств возбудителя раневой водянистой гнили картофеля (Solanum tuberosum) Pythium ultimum Trow в период 2017–2018 гг. Установлено, что при заражении клубней сортов разных групп спелости возбудитель раневой водянистой гнили картофеля Pythium ultimum Trow обладает высокой степенью вирулентности и агрессивности, так как среди проанализированных сортов не наблюдалось устойчивых, а степень поражения патогеном варьировала от относительно невысокой до очень сильной по отдельным сортам. Анализ данных агрессивности патогена на клубневых дисках свидетельствует о высокой степени агрессивности оомицета, так как во всех трех вариантах отмечалось наличие максимальной величины поражения и интенсивности спороношения. Установлено, что основными причинами эпифитотийного развития раневой водянистой гнили в период хранения являются повышенная температура и наличие инфекции оомицета Pythium ultimum Trow в клубнях.
