Fledgling mussel farms yield commercial harvest [Perna canaliculus]

The first commercial harvest for 30 years of green lipped mussels (Perna canaliculus) from Coromandel was recorded in 1984 when approximat 80 tons of mussels were harvested and sold on the local domestic market.
