[Biological properties of some field strains of the fowl plague virus with pronounced neurotropism]

On the basis of the studies of some fowl plague manifestations in Voivodina (SFRY) and of isolated virus strains the following was concluded: -Propagation was slow and persistency was long in the infected fowl population. -Pareses and paralysis of limbs with no encephalitic symptoms of damages of visceral organs and haemorrhagic diathesis are present in sick birds. -Laying ability is undisturbed and egg quality preserved.
