Actualización de datos gravimétricos y de nivelación para el grupo de modelo geoidal del Instituto Geográfico Agustín Codazzi (IGAC) | Gravimetric and leveling data update for the geoidal model group of the Agustín Codazzi Geographical Institute (IGAC)

Actualmente, a nivel internacional se está desarrollando la definición y materialización del sistema y marco de referencia vertical IHRS/IHRF (International Heigth Reference System e International Heigth Reference Frame), con el propósito de unificar los diferentes sistemas de referencia vertical locales que existen en el mundo; para lo cual Colombia a través del IGAC, por medio de la subdirección de Geografía y Cartografía en su grupo interno de trabajo de Geodesia se encuentra actualizando el modelo Geoidal nacional GEOCOL 2004. Por lo tanto, el propósito durante el desarrollo del proyecto fue participar en dicha actualización mediante la organización, transcripción y clasificación de diferente información gravimétrica y de nivelación; apoyando así al grupo de modelo Geoidal en su proceso para definir un sistema único de referencia vertical. Por ello el presente trabajo es evidencia de diferentes actividades realizadas en conjunto con el (IGAC) específicamente con el Grupo Interno de Trabajo GIT de Geodesia; para ello se tomaron en cuenta dos procesos, el primero fue la organización de diferentes documentos oficiales del instituto en una única base de datos digital en este caso fue en formato Excel, para posteriormente clasificar y analizar los metadatos en la plataforma GeoNetwork 3.4.0 la cual cuenta con una plantilla preestablecida. Con lo anterior durante este proceso se realizó la adecuada transcripción de aproximadamente más de 11000 datos gravimétricos y de nivelación con sus respectivos metadatos; por lo que una vez culminado el desarrollo de este proyecto el IGAC, contará con una base de datos actualizada la cual servirá como fuente de respaldo y consulta, beneficiando al departamento de geodesia al facilitar el manejo y manipulación de dicha información gravimétrica y de nivelación y de esta manera avanzar en cuanto a sus proyectos propuestos.

Currently, at the international level, the definition and materialization of the IHRS/IHRF (International Heigth Reference System and International Heigth Reference Frame) vertical reference system and frame is being developed, with the purpose of unifying the different local vertical reference systems that exist in the world; for which Colombia through the IGAC, through the subdirection of Geography and Cartography in its internal working group of Geodesy is updating the national Geoidal model GEOCOL 2004. Therefore, the purpose during the internship was to collaborate in this update by organizing, transcribing and classifying different gravimetric and leveling information; thus, supporting the Geoidal model group in its process to define a single vertical reference system. Therefore, the present work is evidence of different activities performed as an intern for the IGAC specifically in the Internal Working Group GIT of Geodesy; for this two processes were taken into account, the first one was the organization of different official documents of the institute in a single digital database in this case was in Excel format, to later classify and analyze the metadata in the GeoNetwork 3.4.0 platform which has a pre-established template. With the above mentioned during this process the adequate transcription of approximately more than 11000 gravimetric and leveling data with their respective metadata was carried out; therefore, once the development of this project is completed, the IGAC, will have an updated database which will serve as a source of backup and consultation, benefiting the geodesy department by facilitating the handling and manipulation of such gravimetric and leveling information and in this way to advance in terms of their proposed projects.
