Extract: Data contained in this handbook rank the value and economic impact of agricultural production during 1976 through 1978 in Texas, and on Area Economic Growth Program regions within the state as defined by the Texas Agricultural Extension Service. The data are presented in both graphic and tabular form. Three-year averages of agricultural commodity prices and output values were used in all calculations of impacts. This three-year average should provide estimates that are useful for longer range planning since some of the annual price variations are removed.
