Comment on a Report by J. H. Vandermeer and R. H. MacArthur Concerning the Broken Stick Model of Species Abundance

The correct formula is given for the relative abundance of the rth rarest species in MacArthur's overlapping niche model. The correction given by Vandermeer and MacArthur (1966) is shown to be erroneous.
