Estructura comunitaria de peces asociados a los arrecifes rocosos en zonas pesqueras e industrial en Bahía de La Paz, B.C.S.

"Los arrecifes rocosos se formaron a partir de procesos geológicos que han surgido al paso de millones de años, estos presentan ciertas estructuras con grandes grietas que dan lugar a la formación de hábitats o sitios que benefician en diversos aspectos, dentro de los que destaca el refugio y la protección para los organismos ante posibles depredadores. Dentro de la zona sur del Golfo de California se encuentra la Bahía de La Paz, la cual en años recientes ha presentado un mayor crecimiento poblacional, incrementando el uso de los recursos naturales entre ellos el ambiente marino, con la pesca de peces e invertebrados y el turismo de avistamiento de mamíferos marinos y elasmobranquios, además, de la creación de una zona industrial con la granja camaronera “GAM” y la reactivación de la minera “ROFOMEX II”. El objetivo de este trabajo fue conocer y comparar la estructura comunitaria de los peces asociados a los arrecifes rocosos cercanos a las áreas de pesca comercial y de la industrial. Las zonas de estudio presentan ciertas diferencias en función de su formación, tamaño y actividad por lo que se dividieron en dos bloques, en el bloque I estuvo Paredones Verdes, con una menor actividad pesquera (PV-MeAP), El Portugués con una mayor actividad pesquera (EP-MaAP) y El Cobre como la zona industrial (EC-I), de igual manera las zonas del bloque II (replica) fueron Tarabillas (T-MeAP), Las Pacas (LP-MaAP) y El Muelle (EM-I). Se contabilizó un total de 27,561 organismos que correspondieron a 111 especies de las cuales 49 son de importancia comercial. La abundancia relativa (AR) por zona, temporada y profundidad mostraron que Abudefduf troschelii, Haemulon maculicauda, Sardinops sagax, Thalassoma lucasanum, Haemulon steindachneri y Stegastes rectifraenum fueron las especies más representativas. Del análisis por bloques, en el bloque I PV-MeAP fue la zona con la riqueza de especies (R) e índice de diversidad específica(D’) más alto (P<0.05) con respecto a las otras dos zonas. El bloque II T-MeAP presentó una mayor R y D’ (P<0.05), en comparación con las otras zonas. De manera general, por temporada y profundidad para las zonas, no se encontraron diferencias significativas para R y D’ (P>0.05), sin embargo, entre sitios si se registraron diferencias significativas por profundidad (P<0.05). Para las zonas del bloque II se encontraron diferencias en la diversidad de especies (H’) (P<0.05), no así por temporada y profundidad, donde no hubo diferencias (P>0.05)..."
