Los circos glaciares en el Pirineo central español. Analisis morfométrico y variaciones espaciales | Glacial cirques in the high valleys of the Aragón and Gállego (Central Spanish Pyrenees): Morphometric analyses and spatial distribution.

[ES] En los altos valles del Aragón y del Gállego, Pirineo español, se han identificado 206 circos glaciares con el fin de estudiar los factores geoambientales que explican su distribución (altitud, exposición, litología) y diversas características morfométricas (superficie, anchura, longitud, relaciones longitud/anchura, etc.). La aplicación de diversos análisis estadísticos (bivariables y multivariables) confirma que una parte de la variabilidad morfométrica de los circos glaciares se justifica por los factores geoambientales estudiados, pero su influencia es relativamente limitada. La altitud se ha mostrado como el factor de mayor importancia, al influir positivamente tanto en la longitud como en el grado de sobreexcavación. El papel de la litología es menos evidente debido a sus interacciones con la altitud.

[EN] 206 glacial cirques have been identified in the high valleys of the Aragon and Gallego rivers, Central Spanish Pyrenees, in order to study the environmental factors explaining their spatial distribution (altitude, aspect, lithology) and several morphometric features (area, width, length, L/W relations, etc.). The use of bivariable and multivariable statistical analyses confirms that a part of the morphometric variability of the glacial cirques is explained by the environmental factors studied, but their influence is relatively limited. Altitude behaves as the most important factor, affecting both the length and the degree of overdeepening of the cirques. The role of the lithology is less obvious because of its interactions with the altitude.
