Племенные качества баранов каракульской породы | Breeding qualities in rams of Karakul breed

The article presents the results of studies conducted on a breeding sheep farm to assess the breeding qualities in rams of the Karakul breed by the quality of offspring. 3 adult rams and 4 young ones were evaluated according to the recommendations and instructions of the bonitation in comparison with the average indices for the flock. It was found that out of 7 rams evaluated by the quality of offspring, the following were identified: one reliable ordinary improver/pedigree ram with identifying number 2652028 (td=2.31; P<0.05), and other three rams were neutral with identifying numbers 2614718 (td=1.26), 2537239 (td=0.28), and 2614769 (td=1.34). The body measurements and calculated physique indices indicate that breeding rams are well developed, which is confirmed by the live weight and the blockiness index, with a high waist, and a satisfactory body length. The exterior of the animals is proportionally developed and corresponds to the breed. / В статье приведены результаты исследований проведенных на племенной овцеферме по оценке племенных качеств баранов производителей каракульской породы по качеству потомства. Были оценены 3 взрослых баранов и 4 молодых согласно рекомендации и инструкции бонитировки в сравнении со средним показателем по отаре. Установлено, что из 7 баранов оцененных по качеству потомства были выявлены: один достоверный рядовой улучшатель с инд. номером 2652028 (td=2,31; P<0,05) и три барана нейтральных с инд. номерами 2614718 (td=1,26), 2537239 (td=0,28), 2614769 (td=1,34). Промеры тела и рассчитанные индексы телосложения свидетельствуют о том, что племенные бараны производители хорошо развиты, что подтверждается живой массой и индексом сбитости, с высокой талией, удовлетворительной длиной тела. Экстерьер животных пропорционально развит и соответствует породе.
