In chrysanthemum cultivation, the soil is traditionally steamed to keep it free of diseases and pests. This uses a lot of energy, which prompted a search for innovative alternatives for steam-free chrysanthemum cultivation. This report provides clarity about the potential of optimized spectrum composition of LED lighting and adapted press pot compositions during the rooting phase to increase the plant resilience of chrysanthemums. The experiments showed that press pot and LED light composition had an effect on the resistance to Pythium. However, the results were not always consistent. Directly sticking the cuttings in the ground had a negative effect on the occurrence of Verticillium.- The results were not consistent for the other diseases and pests.

Holandés; flamenco. In de glastuinbouw neemt duurzaamheid een prominente plaats in waarbij het verminderen van fossiele brandstoffen en milieuvriendelijke teeltmethoden steeds crucialer worden. In de chrysantenteelt wordt de grond traditioneel gestoomd om deze vrij van ziekte en plagen te houden. Dit verbruikt veel energie, wat aanleiding gaf tot een zoektocht naar innovatieve alternatieven voor een stoomvrije chrysantenteelt. In dit rapport wordt de potentie van geoptimaliseerde spectrumcompositie van LED-verlichting en aangepaste perspotsamenstellingen tijdens de bewortelingsfase, om de plantweerbaarheid van de chrysanten onderzocht.
