Mostrar más [+] Menos [-]A ramdomly stratified bottom-trawl survey was carried out by C.F.E. on Flemish Cap (NAFO Div. 3M) in July and August 1989 and 1990. Cod stomachs were collected and studied: 1182 in 1989 and 530 in 1990. The cod specimens were classified by age groups. The feeding intensity was high. The food items, prey occurrence index, the fullness index and diversity index were determined too. The Schooner overlap index was calculated to study the intraspecific diet overlap in cod. The cannibalism and the relation between predator size (cod) and prey size (redfish) was also studied.
