The purpose of the investigation is to clarify the method for determining the ecologically permissible application rate of sewage sludge (hereinafter referred to as SS) or fertilizers made from them using mathematical tools. The data obtained from studying the effects of SS application from municipal treatment facilities in representative cities of the Rostov Region, both in different doses and mixtures, are used. The research method involves analyzing the accepted method for determining the application rates of SS and fertilizers based on them according to GOST R 17.4.3.07-2001, data from field studies and Russian scientists. The specific application rates according to the formulas recommended by GOST R 17.4.3.07-2001 for SS from sewage treatment facilities in town of Novocherkassk amounted to 613.61 t/ha, and in town of Novoshakhtinsk – 277.47 t/ha. It is clear that the specific application rate of several hundred t per ha is exaggerated, as evidenced by field studies. To increase the accuracy of determining a single dose of sludge application, the mobile forms of heavy metals and adjustment of the total dose based on the environmental indicators of SS are proposed to be taken into account. The calculation of sludge application rates from sludge maps of representative cities, which made it possible to justify the feasibility of the proposed clarifications, is presented. According to the methodology suggested, the specific application rates for SS in towns of Novocherkassk and Novoshakhtinsk were obtained as 66.38 and 52.32 t/ha, respectively. The clarifications suggested make it possible to obtain the most probable value when determining the application rate of sewage sludge, which will ensure the environmental safety of the fertilizers considered for the greatest number of environmentally significant indicators, including mobile forms of heavy metals. | Цель исследований - уточнение способа определения экологически допустимой дозы внесения осадков сточных вод (далее – ОСВ) или удобрений из них с использованием математического инструментария. Использованы данные, полученные на основании изучения последствий применения ОСВ с муниципальных очистных сооружений городов-представителей Ростовской области, в том числе в разных дозах и смесях. Метод исследования предполагает анализ принятого способа определения доз внесения ОСВ и удобрений на их основе согласно ГОСТ Р 17.4.3.07-2001, данных натурных исследований российских ученых. Удельные дозы внесения согласно формулам рекомендованных ГОСТ Р 17.4.3.07-2001 для ОСВ от канализационных очистных сооружений г. Новочеркасска составили 613,61 т/га, а г. Новошахтинска – 277,47 т/га. Понятно, что удельная норма внесения в несколько сотен тонн на гектар является преувеличенной, о чем свидетельствуют натурные исследования. В целях увеличения точности определения разовой дозы внесения осадков, предложен учет подвижных форм тяжелых металлов и корректировка общей дозы на основании экологических показателей ОСВ. В работе приведен расчет норм внесения осадков с иловых карт городов-представителей, который позволил обосновать целесообразность предложенных уточнений. По предложенной методике были получены удельные дозы внесения для ОСВ г. Новочеркасска и г. Новошахтинска 66,38 и 52,32 т/га соответственно. Предложенные уточнения позволяют при определении нормы внесения осадков сточных вод получить наиболее вероятную величину, которая будет обеспечивать экологическую безопасность рассматриваемых удобрений по наибольшему числу экологически значимых показателей, в том числе включая подвижные формы тяжелых металлов.
