2011
El-Kholy, M.A. | Kasem, W.T. | Mabrouk, A.S.
Pollen grain morphology and seed coat characters of 11 cultivars belonging to two species of genus Hibiscus (Family Malvaceae) namely H. esculentus (H. Abelmoschus) and H. sabdariffa were investigated. This study was carried out using light microscope (LM) and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). Pollen morphology of this genus is fairly uniform. Generally radially symmetrical apolar, mostly spheroidal, pantoporate. Seed exomorphic characters revealed four types of ornamentations; reticulate, ocealate, foveolate and ruminate. Sodium Dodecyl Sulphate Polyacrylamide Gel Electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE) was employed to characterize those taxa. Thirty one bands of seed protein profiles have been constructed from the gel. The produced dendrograms were analyzed by STATISCA program using UPGMA clustering method showed a close affinity among the seven H. esculentus cultivars and the four H. sabdariffa cultivars.

This study presents the Mallophaga and Anoplura lice which affects farm animals (camels sheep and goats), a local area east of the Saudi Arabia of different ages, races, classes. Study the classification of lice was recorded as using the optical microscope and electronic scanning. The study shows scanning electron microscopy micro-structure of the species: Bovicola (Damalinia) ovis, Linognathus africanus and the study showed the installation of a portfolio of head lice, and the distribution of filament head, chest and abdomen, as shown over the centuries, the difference in the form of remote sensing and Swallows in thesexuallice, the first study in this area.

2007
M Idraw
The hoverflies insect species are considered the most economic pollinators of various flowers, the adult visitors feed on nectar and pollen. Many of syrphid survivors are voracious aphid feeders in their larval instars and are considered greatest bio-control agent. They are beneficial insects when estimating the damage of pest control is consid-ered. In spite of their great economic importance, no progress has been estimated on taxonomy and biology of these insects in Syria. A surveillance studies of such flies were carried out in three loca-tions (Agroecosystems) in Deir-Ezzor, Eastern Syria during March-July 2006, based on number of captured adults. Yellow dish traps were used, and 12 spieces were identified and counted. This study will be an applicable addition to the availa-ble knowledge about the Syrian fauna.

2005
H. Mohamed Sonya, | Saleh E.A. | Zaki M.M.
A numerical method was suggested for the identification of eight local halotolerant streptomycete isolates. Cultural, morphological, physiological and antagonistic characteristics of those isolates were determined. Arbitrary scoring of these characters for the eight unknown isolates and those of the more related known Streptomyces species in the keyof Pridham and Tresner (1974) was given and resulted 58 characteristic units. The degree of similarity was determined using the Dice coefficient method and clustering was achieved using the unweighted pair group method average (UPGMA) algorithm. Using this numerical method, six out of the eight Streptomyces isolates, i.e., ST08, ST09, ST11, ST13, ST14 and ST15 were identified as S. longisporus, S. janthinus, S. griseochromogenes, S. antibioticus S. baarnensis and S. albolongus with 100, 95.8, 95.0, 92.8, 95.0 and 91.1%, respectively. Isolates ST10 and ST12 were duplicate of S. echinatus with similarities of 93.3 and 94.6%, respectively. Application of the suggested numerical taxonomy on the 14 known Streptomyces species revealed that these species fell into three major clusters based on their color of aerial mycelia.

The development of agriculture over the last decades has resulted in a continuous change of the natural vegetation of Egypt. Several species widely cultivated as economic crops or ornamentals. Numbers of species which escaped from cultivation and naturalized in naturals habitats are increasing. It is necessary to study the changes in the natural vegetation and traces the new species. The present study undertakes a survey, taxonomical revision and numerical analysis of the genus Hibiscus L. in Egypt including wild and cultivated species. The taxonomic treatment based on collecting of fresh materials from the studied species, in addition to the investigation of the herbarium specimens as well as information from the literatures. Eleven species of Hibiscus were reported in this study, from which there are 5 wild species (H. diversifolius Jacq., H. micranthus L. f., H. vitifolius L., H. sabdariffa L. and H. trionum L.) and there are 6 cultivated species (H. cannabinus L., H. mutabilis L., H. rosa-sinensis L., H. schizopetalus (Mast.) Hook. f. in Curtis, H. syriacus L. and H. tiliaceus L.). An identification key to the species of Hibiscus is provided. Valid names and synonyms are updated from online sources. Scientific descriptions provided the characters of leaves, flowers, fruits and seeds based on the herbarium specimens and completed from fresh materials and literatures are given. Distribution of wild species in their phytogeographical regions are provided. Type specimen, habitat, selected specimens and economic importance are provided for each species. The numerical analysis based on thirty six morphological characters including vegetative, flowers and fruits parts of the studied species. SPSS Statistics version 22 used to get morphometric analysis. The numerical analysis revealed two main clusters. The first cluster included 3 species, viz. H. micranthus L. f., H. vitifolius L. and H. trionum L. The second cluster included two groups: group (a) viz. H. diversifolius Jacq., H. syriacus L., and H. tiliaceus L., and group (b) viz. Hibiscus cannabinus L., H. mutabilis L., H. rosa-sinensis L., H. sabdariffa L. and H. schizopetalus (Mast.) Hook. f. in Curtis.

This study was conducted to revise the taxonomic identity and clarify specific relationships among the studied Triticum species in Egypt. The studied species included; T. dicoccum (Schrank) Schubl.; T. dicoccoides (Koren ex Asch. & Graebn.) Aaron Sohn. T. tugidum L.; T. durum Desf.; T. pyramidale (Delile ex Schult.) Percival and T. aestivum L. Moreover, the wild Emmer Wheat T. dicoccoides (Koren ex Asch. & Graebn.) Aaron Sohn was recently found in Egypt as a new record. The genus Triticum L. includes 14 species, all of them are cultivated for food except the wild Emmer.
