An experiment was conducted on 100 day in old broiler chicks to study the immunosuppressive potential of Argemone mexicana seeds toxicity. Toxicity was induced by administrating crushed Argemone seeds @ 5, 10,20 and 30 grams per Kg of feed in treatment groups Tl, T2, T3 and T4 respectively whereas the Control group was maintained on the normal feed. The birds in the treatment groups showed the symptoms like dullness, depression and ruffled feathers. The body weight gain (BWG) was poor in comparison to control. The lymphoid organ to body weight ratio, HI titers and percentage of active macrophage were found significantly reduced. The histopathological lesions revealed marked lymphoid depletion indicaive of immunosuppressive potential ofArgemone seeds.

Comparision of the carcass traits and sensory properties of meat between different genetic groups of guinea fowl and broiler chickens at 16 weeks ofa gerevealed that the dressing and eviscerated weight percentage of broiler chickens were significantly lower from that all the guinea fowl groups, except from that of Pearl, where the differences were not significant. The experimental trial of six weeks was undertaken on 90 broiler chicks divided into three groups. Control (To) group was fed standard broiler diet and T1 and T2 groups were provided same broiler diet supplemented with 300 and 500 mg of Spirulina per kg feed, respectively. Mean live body weight of six weeks of the experiment and live weight at the end of experiment were found to be significantly (P0.05) higher in Spirulina supplemented T1 and T2 groups of broilers than that of control (To) group. Comparatively better mean weekly weight gain and feed efficiency were also observed in Spirulina supplemented groups (T1 and T2)with decreased feed consumption as compared to control (To) group of broilers.
