Мета. Проаналізувати сучасну ситуацію з поліпшенням сільськогосподарських культур технологіями редагування генів. Результати. Проаналізовано нинішню ситуацію зі створенням сортів рослин за допомогою технологій редагування генів. Натепер редагування геному застосовано до широкого спектра культур, зокрема пшениці, ячменю, кукурудзи, бобових, сої, ріпаку, томатів, цикорію, різних садових рослин, фруктових і лісових дерев, водоростей. Практичне впровадження цих технологій продемонстровано на прикладі генів, пов’язаних із забезпеченням толерантності до дії високих і низьких температур. Також наведено приклади комерціалізованих генноредагованих рослин. Висновки. Завдяки внеску в підвищення врожайності, стійкості проти хвороб і шкідників, а також біофортифікації продовольчих культур редагування генів має значні перспективи та, безумовно, є технологією, що дає змогу створювати поліпшені сорти сільськогосподарських рослин. | Purpose.To analyze the current state of agricultural crop improvement using gene editing technologies. Results. The current state of plant breeding using gene editing techno­logies is analyzed. To date, genome editing has been applied to a wide range of crops, including wheat, barley, maize, legumes, soybean, rapeseed, tomato, chicory, various vegetab­le crops, fruit trees, forest trees and algae. The practical application of these technologies is illustrated by the example of genes associated with ensuring tolerance to high and low temperatures. Examples of commercialized gene­edited plants are given. Conclusions. By contributing to increased yields, improved resistance to diseases and pests, and biofortification of food crops, gene editing technology undoubtedly has great prospects and is definitely already the technology for creating improved varieties of agricultural crops.

The information on cis-, intra- and subgenic plants and their comparison with transgenic crops is given. Examples of cis- and intragenesis application for improving characteristics of crops are provided. Such state-of-the-art technology of crop genome modification as genome editing is considered. Conclusions. Technologies for producing cis-, intra-, subgenic plants are rapidly developing and resulting in crops of the 21st century that can solve the problem of food provision for a constantly growing world population with the least contrary to the public interest.
