Мета. Ідентифікувати за алельним станом гени Pina-D1 і Pinb-D1 сортів та ліній пшениці м’якої озимої селекції Інституту рослинництва ім. В. Я. Юр’єва НААН для цільового використання в селекції на високі кондитерські показники борошна.Методи. Алельний стан генів Pina-D1 і Pinb-D1 ідентифікували методом полімеразної ланцюгової реакції (ПЛР) з використанням алель-специфічних пар праймерів. Кондитерські властивості борошна оцінювали, визначивши показники якості: водопоглинальну здатність борошна (ВПЗ), пробне випікання печива та оцінювання його якості.Результати. За результатами ПЛР-аналізу 9 зразків мали алельний склад генів пуроіндолінів (Pina-D1a і Pinb-D1а), характерний для м'якозерних сортів. Кращим за кондитерськими властивостями було борошно ліній 'L137-26-0-2', 'L137-26-0-3', воно мало показник ВПЗ менший 55%, діаметр печива 85 мм, висоту – 10 мм, оцінку поверхні – 7–9 балів, що відповідало вимогам до м'якозерних пшениць. 76% зразків належали до твердозерних сортів та мали відповідні алелі генів Pina-D1 або Pinb-D1. У дослідженій вибірці ген Pina-D1 був представлений 2 алелями: Pina-D1а та Pina-D1b. 27 зразків мали алель Pina-D1а, що також дозволило використовувати їх в селекційних програмах на якість зерна при схрещуванні зі зразками типу soft, 4 – алель Pina-D1b. За геном Pinb-D1 всі твердозерні зразки мали алель Pinb-D1b, а лінія 'Еритроспермум S 424-1/14' була гетерогенною Pinb-D1а/Pinb-D1b. Борошно цих зразків мало характерні для твердозерної пшениці показники якості: ВПЗ 68% і більше, діаметр печива 60–72 мм, висота – 13–15 мм, оцінка поверхні – 1–4 бали.Висновки. Виконані дослідження дозволили ефективно диференціювати селекційний матеріал і передати на кваліфікаційну експертизу сорт пшениці м'якої озимої кондитерського напряму використання 'L137-26-0-3' ('Мазурок'), який має алельний склад генів пуроіндолінів (Pina-D1a і Pinb-D1а), характерний для м'якозерних сортів, та високі кондитерські властивості борошна. | Цель. Идентифицировать аллельное состояние генов Pina-D1 и Pinb-D1 сортов и линий пшеницы мягкой озимой селекции Института растениеводства им. В. Я. Юрьева НААН для целевого использования в селекции на высокие кондитерские показатели муки. Методы. Аллельное состояние генов Pina-D1 и Pinb-D1 идентифицировали методом полимеразной цепной реакции (ПЦР) с использованием аллель-специфических пар праймеров. Кондитерские свойства муки оценивали, определив показатели качества: водопоглотительную способность муки (ВПС), пробную выпечку печенья и оценку его качества. Результаты. Лучшей по кондитерским свойствам была мука линий пшеницы ‘L137-26-0-2’, ‘L137-26-0-3’, она имела показатель ВПС меньше 55%, диаметр печенья 85 мм, высоту – 10 мм, оценка поверхности печенья составляла 7–9 балов, что соответствовало требованиям к мягкозёрным пшеницам. 76% изученных образцов относились к твёрдозёрным сортам и имели соответствующие аллели генов Pina-D1 или Pinb-D1. В опытной выборке образцов ген Pina был представлен 2 аллелями: Pina D1а и Pina D1b. 27 образцов имели аллель Pina D1а, это также позволило использовать их в селекции на качество зерна при скрещивании с сортами типа soft, 4 – аллель Pina D1b. По гену Pinb все твёрдозёрные образцы имели аллель Pinb D1b, а линия ‘Эритроспермум S 424-1/14’ была гетерогенной Pinb D1а/Pinb D1b. Эти образцы имели соответствующие твёрдозёрным пшеницам показатели качества муки: ВПС 68% и выше, диаметр печенья 60–72 мм, высота – 13–15 мм, оценка поверхности – 1–4 балла. Выводы. Проведенные исследования позволили эффективно дифференцировать селекционный материал и передать на квалификационную экспертизу сорт пшеницы мягкой озимой кондитерского направления использования ‘L137-26-0-3’ (‘Мазурок’), который имеет аллельный состав генов пуроиндолинов (Pina-D1a и Pinb-D1а), характерный для мягкозёрных сортов, и высокие кондитерские свойства муки. | Purpose. In the studied sample, Pina-D1 gene is represented by 2 alleles: Pina-D1a and Pina-D1b. 27 samples had Pina-D1a allele, which also allows them to be used in breeding programs for grain quality when crossed with soft samples, 4 ones had Pina-D1b allele. As to Pinb-D1 gene, all hard grain samples had Pinb-D1b allele, and the 'Erythrospermum S 424-1 / 14' line was heterogeneous for Pinb-D1a / Pinb-D1b. The flour of these samples had typical for hard wheat quality indicators: WAC 68% and more, cookie diameter of 60–72 mm, cookie height of 13–15 mm, the surface evaluation of 1–4 points.Conclusions. The studies allowed to differentiate the breeding material  and transfer a soft winter wheat cultivar of a confectionery use 'L137-26-0-3' ('Mazurok') which has an allelic structure of puroindolins genes (Pina-D1a and Pinb-D1a) characteristic for soft-grained varieties and high confectionery flour properties for qualification examination.

Abstract The genus Cercospora includes many important plant pathogens that are commonly associated with leaf spot diseases on a wide range of cultivated and wild plant species. Due to the lack of useful morphological features and high levels of intraspecific variation, host plant association has long been a decisive criterion for species delimitation in Cercospora. Because several taxa have broader host ranges, reliance on host data in Cercospora taxonomy has proven problematic. Recent studies have revealed multi-gene DNA sequence data to be highly informative for species identification in Cercospora, especially when used in a concatenated alignment. In spite of this approach, however, several species complexes remained unresolved as no single gene proved informative enough to act as DNA barcoding locus for the genus. Therefore, the aims of the present study were firstly to improve species delimitation in the genus Cercospora by testing additional genes and primers on a broad set of species, and secondly to find the best DNA barcoding gene(s) for species delimitation. Novel primers were developed for tub2 and rpb2 to supplement previously published primers for these loci. To this end, 145 Cercospora isolates from the Iranian mycobiota together with 25 additional reference isolates preserved in the Westerdijk Fungal Biodiversity Institute were subjected to an eight-gene (ITS, tef1, actA, cmdA, his3, tub2, rpb2 and gapdh) analysis. Results from this study provided new insights into DNA barcoding in Cercospora, and revealed gapdh to be a promising gene for species delimitation when supplemented with cmdA, tef1 and tub2. The robust eight-gene phylogeny revealed several novel clades within the existing Cercospora species complexes, such as C. apii, C. armoraciae, C. beticola, C. cf. flagellaris and Cercospora sp. G. The C. apii s. lat. isolates are distributed over three clades, namely C. apii s. str, C. plantaginis and C. uwebrauniana sp. nov. The C. armoraciae s. lat. isolates are distributed over two clades, C. armoraciae s. str. and C. bizzozeriana. The C. beticola s. lat. isolates are distributed over two clades, namely C. beticola s. str. and C. gamsiana, which is newly described.

Мета. Обґрунтувати особливості класифікації морфобіологічних та господарсько-цінних показників сортів лохини високорослої Vaccinium corymbosum L. Методи. Дослідження проводили впродовж 2012–2019 рр. Методи дослідження: польовий (візуальне обстеження прояву морфологічних ознак вегетативних і генеративних органів рослин лохини), лабораторний (визначення вмісту в ягодах вітаміну С, загального цукру, пектину, каротинів, антоціанів, флавоноїдів, загальної кислотності), аналітичний, порівняльний, статистичний (кластерний аналіз).Результати. Сорти лохини високорослої за роки досліджень характеризувались стабільним проявом однорідних морфологічних ознак та господарсько-цінних показників продуктивності. Зокрема, досліджувані сорти класифіковані за групами стиглості: дуже рання: ‘Фіолент’; рання: ‘Драпер’, ‘Гурон’, ‘Клокворк’, ‘Карго’, ‘Ласка’; середня: ‘Блу ріббон’, ‘Топ шелф’, ‘ЗФ08070’, ‘Мавка’; пізня: ‘Ліберті’, ‘Ласт колл’ та дуже пізня: ‘Аврора’, ‘Овертайм’. Установлено, що до кількісних морфологічних ознак сортів лохини високорослої, які впливали на формування продуктивності рослин, належать такі ознаки, як сила росту, листок за довжиною, листок за шириною, суцвіття за довжиною, гроно за щільністю, плід за розміром. Господарсько-цінні показники придатності сортів лохини високорослої залишалися стабільними в межах групи стиглості. Найвищу врожайність (19,5 т/га) забезпечив середньостиглий сорт ‘Мавка’ вітчизняної селекції. Вихід ягід з куща в цього сорту був теж найвищим і становив 7 кг. Найнижчими досліджувані показники продуктивності були в сорту ‘Блу ріббон’ – 10,2 т/га і 2,4 кг відповідно. Мінімальне та максимальне значення прояву характеристик слугуватиме для встановлення граничних меж його варіювання під час наступного моделювання господарсько-цінних показників сортів лохини високорослої.Висновки. Такі морфобіологічні характеристики сортів лохини високорослої, як сила росту рослин, листок за довжиною, листок за шириною, суцвіття за довжиною, гроно за щільністю, плід за розміром тісно пов’язані з продуктивністю рослин, виходом ягід з куща, масою ягід і врожайністю. А тому їх можна залучати до розроблення та вдосконалення моделі показників придатності лохини високорослої до поширення на території України. | Purpose. In particular, the studied varieties are classified according to ripeness groups: very early: ‘Fiolent’; early: ‘Draper’, ‘Huron’, ‘Clockwork’, ‘Cargo’, ‘Laska’; medium: ‘Blue Ribbon’, ‘Top shelf’, ‘ZF08-070’, ‘Mavka’; late: ‘Liberti’, ‘Last Call’ and very late: ‘Aurora’, ‘Overtime’. It was determined that the quantitative morphological traits of highbush blueberry varieties that influenced the formation of plant productivity include such traits as growth vigor, leaf length, leaf width, inflorescences lengthwise, bunch density, fruit size. Economically valuable indicators of suitability of highbush blueberry varieties remained stable within the ripeness group. The highest yield (19.5 t/ha) was provided by the mid-season variety ‘Mavka’ of domestic selection. The yield of berries from the bush of this variety was also high and amounted to 7 kg. The studied performance indicators were low in the variety ‘Blue Ribbon’ – 10.2 t/ha and 2.4 kg, respectively. The minimum and maximum values of the manifestation of characteristics will serve to establish the limiting boundaries of its variation in the next modeling of economically valuable indicators of highbush blueberry varieties.Conclusions. Such morphobiological characteristics of highbush blueberry varieties, as plant growth vigor, leaf length, leaf width, inflorescences lengthwise, bunch density, fruit size are closely related to plant productivity, berry yield per bush, berry weight and yield. Therefore, they can be involved in the development and improvement of the model of suitability indicators of highbush blueberries for distribution in Ukraine.

Abstract The Microsporum canis complex consists of one zoophilic species, M. canis, and two anthropophilic species, M. audouinii and M. ferrugineum. These species are the most widespread zoonotic pathogens causing dermatophytosis in cats and humans worldwide. To clarify the evolutionary relationship between the three species and explore the potential host shift process, this study used phylogenetic analysis, population structure analysis, multispecies coalescent analyses, determination of MAT idiomorph distribution, sexual crosses, and macromorphology and physicochemical features to address the above questions. The complex of Microsporum canis, M. audouinii and M. ferrugineum comprises 12 genotypes. MAT1-1 was present only in M. canis, while the anthropophilic entities contained MAT1-2. The pseudocleistothecia were yielded by the mating behaviour of M. canis and M. audouinii. Growth rates and lipase, keratinolysis and urea hydrolytic capacities of zoophilic M. canis isolates were all higher than those of anthropophilic strains; DNase activity of M. ferrugineum exceeded that of M. canis. The optimum growth temperature was 28 °C, but 22 °C favoured the development of macroconidia. Molecular data, physicochemical properties and phenotypes suggest the adaptation of zoophilic M. canis to anthropophilic M. ferrugineum, with M. audouinii in an intermediate position.

Purpose. The adaptation of regenerant plants to environmental conditions is the final stage of micropropagation. According to a number of authors, when in vitro plants are transferred to in vivo non-sterile conditions, a significant percentage of mortality is recorded. In a previous publication, the regenerative capacity of strawberry (Fragaria vesca L.) in vitro tissues on MS culture medium (Murashige & Skoog, 1962) and a regenerants was obtained (Chornobrov O. Yu., 2019).The objective of the study is to develop an optimal protocol of acclimation of in vitro F. vesca plants to in vivo conditions.Methods. Biotechnological and statistical methods of research were applied. For the research ‘Ruiana’ and ‘Zhovte Dyvo’ cultivars were used with in vitro cultivation cycle of 30–35 days. Prepared plants were planted in 0.33 L plastic contai ners, one piece in a mixture of coconut substrate and perlite (3:1). Plants were kept under high relative humidity (85–90%) conditions for 3–5 days, 6–8 days and 10–14 days. The studies were carried out in the Plant Biotechnology Laboratory of SS of NULES of Ukraine “BFRS” during 2019–2020. Results. The duration of Fragaria vesca regenerant plants exposure in conditions of high relative humidity significantly affected adaptation efficiency. The proportion of ‘Ruiana’ and ‘Zhovte Dyvo’ plants adapted to the greenhouse conditions were 47.6 ± 2.5% and 60.0 ± 1.7%, respectively, when the plants were kept for 10–14 days. A significant efficiency of plant adaptation (more than 70%) was obtained under condition of preliminarily exposure the roots of the plants in an auxin solution for 25–30 minutes with daily application of 30% solution of glycerine as foliar spray. The plants adapted to the greenhouse conditions had pigmentation characteristic of the variety, without signs of chlorosis and vitrification.Conclusions. An optimal protocol for in vitro adaptation of F. vesca cultivars to in vivo conditions was developed and viable plants were obtained. Further research will be aimed at studying the growth and development of F. vesca regenerant plants in open ground. | Мета. Адаптація рослин-регенерантів до умов довкілля – заключний етап мікроклонального розмноження.За даними низки авторів, при перенесені рослин in vitro в нестерильні умови закритого ґрунту фіксують знач­ний відсоток відпаду. У попередній публікації досліджено регенераційну здатність тканин рослин суниці (Fragaria vesca L.) in vitro на живильному середовищі MS та одержано регенеранти (Чорнобров О. Ю., 2019). Мета дослід­ження – розроблення оптимального протоколу адапта­ції рослин-регенерантів сортів F. vesca до умов in vivo.Методи. Для досліджень використовували рослини суниці сортів ‘Руяна’ і ‘Жовте диво’ із циклом культивування in vitro 30–35 діб. Рослини висаджували в пластикові контейнери (об’єм – 0,33 л) по 1 шт. у суміш кокосового субстрату та перліту (3:1). Рослини витримували в умовах високої відносної вологості повітря (85–90%) упродовж 3–5 діб, 6–8 діб і 10–14 діб. Дослідження проводили в науково-дослідній лабораторії біотехнології рослин ВП НУБіП України «Боярська ЛДС» упродовж 2019–2020 рр.Результати. Тривалість витримування рослин-регенерантів F. vesca в умовах високої ВВП достовірно впливала на ефективність адаптації. За витримування упродовж 10–14 діб частка адаптованих до умов закритого ґрунту рослин становила для сорту ‘Руяна’ 47,6 ± 2,5% і 60,0 ± 1,7% для сорту ‘Жовте диво’. Значну приживлюваність рослин (понад 70%) одержано за умов попереднього витримування кореневої системи в розчині ауксинів упродовж 25–30 хв із щоденним обприскуванням листків 30%-м гліцерином. Адаптовані до умов закритого ґрунту регенеранти мали характерну для сорту пігментацію, без ознак хлорозу та вітрифікації.Висновки. Розроблено оптимальний протокол адаптації сортів F. vesca in vitro до умов in vivo та одержано життєздатні рослини. Подальші дослідження будуть спрямовані на вивчення росту й розвитку рослин-регенерантів F. vesca в умовах відкритого ґрунту

Мета. Визначити селекційну цінність нового вихідного матеріалу соняшнику з комплексною стійкістю проти гербіцидів групи сульфонілсечовин та несправжньої борошнистої роси. Методи. У процесі дослідження використовували польові (гібридизація, випробування ліній, індивідуальний добір, оцінювання ліній), візуальні (фенологічні спостереження), лабораторні (імунологічне оцінювання стійкості проти НБР), вегетаційні (оцінювання стійкості проти гербіцидів) та математично­статистичні (оброблення експериментальних даних і визначення достовірності результатів дослідження) методи. Результати. Нові самозапилені лінії соняшнику досліджували у відділі селекції та насінництва перехреснозапильних культур Селекційно­генетичного інституту – Національного центру насіннєзнавства та сортовивчення (СГІ – НЦНС) протягом 2020–2023 рр. За результатами роботи створено та оцінено 33 самозапилені лінії соняшнику з комплексною стійкістю проти гербіцидів групи сульфонілсечовин і несправжньої борошнистої роси (НБР). Для створення ліній використовували популяції вітчизняної селекції, здатні реалізовувати свій спадковий потенціал у різних умовах, пристосовані до вирощування в Південному Степу України, стійкі проти комплексу хвороб і шкідників, із підвищеною врожайністю насіння та пластичністю. Одержаний новий вихідний матеріал – константні, стабільно продуктивні лінії, застосовувані в подальшій селекційній програмі. За результатами випробувань майже всі отримані гібриди першого покоління (F1) продемонстрували врожайність понад 1,0 т/га. Лінії, які мали найвищий рівень комбінаційної здатності за врожайністю (гетерозиготне гібридне потомство з підвищеною життєздатністю за основними господарсько­цінними ознаками), відбиратимуть для наступних досліджень і долучатимуть до створення нових гібридів, стійких проти гербіцидів групи сульфонілсечовин та НБР. Висновки. Встановлено, що в одній лінії можна поєднати стійкість проти гербіциду групи сульфонілсечовин і несправжньої борошнистої роси. За стійкістю соняшнику проти гербіциду легко слідкувати в польових умовах, а стійкість проти несправжньої борошнистої роси необхідно контролювати в лабораторних.

Yu., 2019). The objective of the study is to develop an optimal protocol of acclimation of in vitro F. vesca plants to in vivo conditions. Methods. Biotechnological and statistical methods of research were applied. For the research ‘Ruiana’ and ‘Zhovte Dyvo’ cultivars were used with in vitro cultivation cycle of 30–35 days. Prepared plants were planted in 0.33 L plastic contai ners, one piece in a mixture of coconut substrate and perlite (3:1). Plants were kept under high relative humidity (85–90%) conditions for 3–5 days, 6–8 days and 10–14 days. The studies were carried out in the Plant Biotechnology Laboratory of SS of NULES of Ukraine “BFRS” during 2019–2020. Results. The duration of Fragaria vesca regenerant plants exposure in conditions of high relative humidity significantly affected adaptation efficiency. The proportion of ‘Ruiana’ and ‘Zhovte Dyvo’ plants adapted to the greenhouse conditions were 47.6 ± 2.5% and 60.0 ± 1.7%, respectively, when the plants were kept for 10–14 days. A significant efficiency of plant adaptation (more than 70%) was obtained under condition of preliminarily exposure the roots of the plants in an auxin solution for 25–30 minutes with daily application of 30% solution of glycerine as foliar spray. The plants adapted to the greenhouse conditions had pigmentation characteristic of the variety, without signs of chlorosis and vitrification. Conclusions. An optimal protocol for in vitro adaptation of F. vesca cultivars to in vivo conditions was developed and viable plants were obtained. Further research will be aimed at studying the growth and development of F. vesca regenerant plants in open ground.

The first cluster included triploid hybrids: ‘Zluka’, ‘Oleksandriia, ‘Olzhych’, ‘Kvarta’ and ‘Konstanta’, the second one – the triploid hybrid ‘BTs ChS 57’ and diploid ‘Vesto’, the third cluster - the triploid hybrid ‘Sofiia’ and diploid ‘Ukrainskyi ChS 72’.Conclusions. But the maximum sugar content in root crops was in hybrids: ‘Ukrainskyi ChS 72’ – 17.3%, ‘Zluka’ – 17.3% and ‘Sofiia’ – 17.7%. Accordingly, the maximum sugar harvest was provided by hybrids: ‘BTs ChS 57’ – 12.1 t/ha and ‘Romul’ – 12.2 t/ha. | Мета. Установити особливості формування продуктивності сучасних гібридів буряків цукрових вітчизняної селекції. Методи. Польові, лабораторні.Результати. Дослідження показують, що найменшу врожайність буряків цукрових було отримано у 2016, 2017 та 2019 роках. Причому умови зони нестійкого зволоження Правобережної част­и­ни Лісостепу України здебільшого характеризувалися нестійким випаданням опадів, зменшенням їхньої кількості, а також підвищеними середньодобовими температурами повітря. А тому добір високопродуктивних гібридів буряків цукрових для отримання високого рівня продуктивності є актуальним. Як свідчать дані порівняння врожайності коренеплодів буряків цукрових в умовах полігону, то вони істотно перевищували середні показники по Київській області на 10,7–20,0 т/га, і лише в посушливому 2016 році різниця була мінімальною – 4,6 т/га. Висока стабільність ознаки «вміст цукру в коренеплодах» притаманна не тільки гібридам із низькими параметрами її прояву, а значною мірою визначається й генетичними особливостями гібрида. За реакцією гібридів на умови вирощування виділено три кластери. До першого з них увійшли триплоїдні гібриди: ‘Злука’, ‘Олександрія’, ‘Ольжич’, ‘Кварта’ та ‘Константа’, до другого – триплоїдний гібрид ‘БЦ ЧС 57’ та диплоїдний ‘Весто’, до третього – триплоїдний гібрид ‘Софія’ та диплоїдний ‘Український ЧС 72’.Висновки. Правильний добір високопродуктивних гібридів, стійких до несприятливих умов вирощування в зоні нестійкого зволоження Лісостепу України, надзвичайно важливий, адже біологічні особливості гібридів на 45% впливають на величину формування збору цукру, а от умови вегетаційного періоду – на 33%, взаємодія цих чинників була на рівні 17%. Попри складні погодні умови, найбільшу врожайність формували гібриди ‘Анічка’ – 70,1 т/га, ‘Рамзес’ – 70,5, ‘Ромул’ – 73,0, ‘БЦ ЧС 57’ – 73,4 т/га. А от максимальний уміст цукру в коренеплодах був у таких гібридів, як ‘Український ЧС 72’ – 17,3%, ‘Злука’ – 17,3, ‘Софія’ – 17,7%. Максимум збору цукру забезпечували гібриди ‘БЦ ЧС 57’ і ‘Ромул’ – 12,1 і 12,2 т/га відповідно.

Мета. Виявити ефективність використання контрастних строків сівби після різних попередників для оцінювання генотипів пшениці м’якої озимої за врожайністю та стабільністю.Методи. Польові, лабораторні, статистичні.Результати. Установлено різний, але достовірний рівень впливу на врожайність генотипів пшениці м’якої озимої таких чинників, як умови року вирощування (66,2%), попередники (12,5%), строки сівби (6,1%) та генотип (1,7%). Відзначено достовірні відмітності в реакції досліджених генотипів на строки сівби після різних попередників. Виявлено відносно менший вплив попередників на врожайність сортів ‘Естафета миронівська’ та ‘Вежа миронівська’, більший – ‘МІП Дарунок’, ‘МІП Княжна’ та ‘МІП Вишиванка’. Строки сівби менше впливали на врожайність сортів ‘МІП Фортуна’, ‘МІП Вишиванка’ та ‘Трудівниця миронівська’, значно – сорту ‘МІП Дарунок’. Установлено загальну тенденцію зменшення середньої врожайності в досліді зі зміщенням строку сівби від 26 вересня до 16 жовтня. Однак, для низки генотипів після певних попередників оптимальним був строк сівби 5 жовтня: після попередника сидеральний пар – для сортів ‘Трудівниця миронівська’, ‘МІП Ассоль’ та ‘МІП Дніпрянка’, після гірчиці – ‘Вежа миронівська’, після соняшнику – ‘МІП Фортуна’, після кукурудзи – ‘МІП Фортуна’ та ‘Подолянка’. У розрізі строків сівби встановлено найменше варіювання врожайності після попередників сидеральний пар, гірчиця та кукурудза сортів ‘МІП Вишиванка’, ‘Балада миронівська’, ‘МІП Княжна’, ‘Естафета миронівська’. З використанням GGE biplot виявлено, що наближеним до «ідеального середовища» для реалізації рівня врожайності більшості генотипів був другий строк сівби після попередника сидеральний пар. За різними строками сівби й попередниками в середньому за три роки найоптимальніше поєднання рівня врожайності і стабільності відзначено для сортів ‘Трудівниця миронівська’, ‘МІП Відзнака’, ‘МІП Ассоль’, ‘Естафета миронівська’, ‘МІП Валенсія’.Висновки. Використання різних строків сівби після різних попередників є ефективним підходом організації генотип-середовищних випробувань. Він дає змогу ідентифікувати як специфічно адаптовані до певних умов (попередників та строків сівби) генотипи, так і генотипи з відносно вищим рівнем стабільності за сівби після різних попередників та в різні строки. Такий підхід може бути використаний як на завершальному етапі селекції для диференціювання селекційних ліній за врожайністю та стабільністю, так і під час розроблення базових елементів технології вирощування новостворених сортів. | Purpose. To determine the effectiveness of using contrasting sowing dates after different predecessors to assess the genotypes of bread winter wheat in terms of yield and stability.Methods. Field, laboratory, mathematical statistics.Results. A different, but reliable level of influence on the yield of bread winter wheat genotypes of such factors as conditions of the year of cultivation (66.2%), predecessors (12.5%), sowing date (6.1%) and genotype (1.7% ) was revealed. However, for the number of genotypes after certain predecessors, the optimal sowing date was the 5th of October: after the predecessor, green-manure fallow – for varieties ‘Trudivnytsia myronivska’, ‘MIP Assol’ and ‘MIP Dniprianka’, after mustard – ‘Vezha Myronivska’, after sunflower – ‘MIP Fortuna’, after corn – ‘MIP Fortuna’ and ‘Podolianka’. In terms of sowing dates, the least variation in yield was found after the predecessors green manure, mustard and corn varieties ‘MIP Vyshyvanka’, ‘Balada Myronivska’, ‘MIP Kniazhna’, ‘Estafeta Myronivska’. Using the GGE biplot, it was found that close to the ‘ideal environment’ for the realization of the yield level of most genotypes was the second sowing date after greenmanure fallow predecessor. For different sowing dates and predecessors, on average for three years, the optimal combination of the level of yield and stability was noted for the varieties ‘Trudivnytsia Myronivska’, ‘MIP Vidznaka’, ‘MIP Assol’, ‘Estafeta Myronivska’, ‘MIP Valensiia’.Conclusions. Thus, the use of different so wing dates after various predecessors is an effective approach to organization of genotype-environmental tests. It makes it possible to identify the genotypes which are specifically adapted to certain conditions (predecessors and sowing dates) and genotypes with a relatively high level of stability when sowing after various predecessors and on different dates. This approach can be used both at the final stage of breeding to differentiate breeding lines for yield and stability, and in the development of basic elements of technology for growing newly created varieties.

Two cercosporoid species are respectively described from Mexican whorled milkweed (Asclepias fascicularis), and spineless safflower (Carthamus tinctorius) from California. Passalora californica represents a new pathogen on Asclepias fascicularis, while Ramularia cynarae is confirmed on Carthamus tinctorius and Cynara cardunculus (Asteraceae), and an epitype designated. Pathogenicity is also established for both pathogens based on Koch's postulate.

To analyze collection samples by yield, protein and starch content in grain, its granulometric composition and highlight valuable sources for creating varieties sui­table for bioethanol processing. Methods. To assess the collection material, field, laboratory, measurement and weight, mathematical and statistical research methods were used.  The analysis of chemical quality indicators of triticale grain was carried out by infrared spectrometry on an Infratec 1241 device. The size of starch granules was determined by light microscopy and using the ImageJ computer program. Statistical processing of the obtained research results was carried out with the introduction of the computer program Statistica 6. Results. The results of studies on the collection of winter triticale by the main signs of suitability for bioethanol processing are presented. The grain yield in collection samples on average over the years of research ranged from 3.69 to 5.17 t/ha. The best samples were identified – numbers 181, 101, 185, 219 and the variety ’Arystokrat’ with a yield of 5.01–5.17 t/ha. By the high starch content numbers 123 (69.5%), 101 (69.8%) and the varieties ‘Petrol’ (69.0%), ‘Solodiuk’ (70.1%) and ‘Liubomyr’ (70.3%) were selected. A moderate negative correlation was found between yield and protein content (r = -0.37) and a significant negative correlation was found between starch and protein content (r = -0.64). The analysis of collection samples of winter triticale by granulometric starch composition was carried out. Maximum size of starch granules in the collection samples ranged from 19.4 to 32.7 µm, the minimum – 9.9 to 15.7 µm, and the variability range for the average size of granules was 15.4–20.0 µm. Varieties ‘Yasha’ and ‘Mundo’ were distinguished by the smal­lest average granule size of starch (15.4 and 15.6 µm) and uniformity of particle size distribution. Conclusions. Sources of valuable traits were identified by high productivity, starch content and aligned and fine granule size distribution. A moderate correlation between productivity and protein content and a significant negative correlation between starch and protein content was revealed.

Статистичну обробку отриманих результатів досліджень здійснювали з використанням комп’ютерної програми Statistica 6. Результати. Наведено результати досліджень з вивчення колекції тритикале озимого за основними ознаками придатності для переробки на біоетанол. Врожайність зерна у колекційних зразків у середньому за роки досліджень становила від 3,69 до 5,17 т/га. Виділено кращі зразки – номери 181, 101, 185, 219 і сорт ‘Аристократ’ із врожайністю 5,01–5,17 т/га. За високим умістом крохмалю виділено номери 123 (69,5%), 101 (69,8%) та сорти ‘Петрол’ (69,0%), ‘Солодюк’ (70,1%) і ‘Любомир’ (70,3%). Установлено помірну від’ємну кореляцію врожайності із вмістом білка (r = -0,37) та значну від’ємну – між умістом крохмалю і білка (r = -0,64). Проаналізовано колекційні зразки тритикале озимого за гранулометричним складом крохмалю. Максимальний розмір крохмальних гранул у колекційних зразків варіював від 19,4 до 32,7 мкм, мінімальний – від 9,9 до 15,7 мкм, а за середнім розміром гранул діапазон мінливості становив 15,4–20,0 мкм. Виділено сорти ‘Яша’ і ‘Mundo’ за найменшим середнім розміром гранул крохмалю (15,4 і 15,6 мкм) та вирівняністю гранулометричного складу.Висновки. Виділено джерела цінних ознак за високою врожайністю, вмістом крохмалю та вирівняним і дрібним гранулометричним складом. Установлено помірний кореляційний зв’язок між урожайністю і вмістом білка та значний від’ємний – між вмістом крохмалю і білка.

Purpose. To determine the drought resistance of five millet varieties (ʻOmriyaneʼ, ʻKharkivske 57ʼ, ʻKonstantinovskeʼ, ʻIR 5ʼ, ʻSlobozhanskeʼ) using PEG 6000 as osmotic stress. Methods. To obtain the effect of drought, five concentrations of PEG 6000 solutions were used: 0.0% (control), 11.5%, 15.3%, 19.6%, 23.5% and 28.9%, which corresponds to 0.0, 115, 153, 196, 235 and 289 g of solute in 1000 ml of distilled water or 0.0, -1.9, - 3.1, - 4.8, - 6.6 and - 9.7 bar. Results. Osmotic stress strongly suppressed the germination of millet seeds at -3.1 bars (46.8%) and at -4.8 bars (28.66%) on the third day, but on the sixth day the number of germinated seeds increased to 92.8% and 84.0% respectively. The millet genotypes of differed significantly in the percentage of germination at various concentrations of the PEG 6000 osmotic solution. The minimum germination capacity was observed in variety Omriyane at -3.1, - 4.8, - 6.6 bars. ʻIR 5ʼ, ʻKonstantinovskeʼ and ʻKharkivske 57ʼ showed higher germination potential at the different concentrations of water stress. A decrease in root elongation in all genotypes compared to control was observed in -1.9 bars osmotic stress and then at -3.1 and -4.8 bars of osmotic stress the root length had the same value from 6.6 mm to 13.5 mm on the 3d day and from 25.3 mm to 34.7 mm on the 6th day. Variety ʻSlobozhanskeʼ showed higher mean root length at -3.1 and -4.8 bars of water stress induced by PEG on the 3d day (8,7 mm-12,5 mm) and on the 6th day (35.7 mm-32.3 mm). It is not observed shoot of millet at -9.7 bars on the 3d and on the 6th days. ʻKharkivske 57ʼ, ʻIR 5ʼ, ʻSlobozhanskeʼ showed higher individual shoot length of 23.1 mm, 25.5 mm, 25.6 mm, respectively at -4.8 bars of PEG 6000 on the 6th day. At -6.6 bars of osmotic stress ʻKonstantinоvskeʼ and ʻSlobozhanskeʼ had lowest root length/shoot length ratio 2.58 and 2.61, respectively. Variety ʻOmriyaneʼ (3.54) and ʻIR 5ʼ (3.31) had the maximum deviation from unity (3.54 and 3.31, respectively). Conclusions. Genotypes' ʻKonstantinоvskeʼ and ʻSlobozhanskeʼ, which showed a high level of drought resistance, were selected as a result of this study in breeding for drought resistance. Variety ʻIR 5ʼ, ʻKonstantinovskeʼ and ʻKharkivske 57ʼ were characterized highest seed germination percentage at the different water stress.

Мета. Визначити посухостійкість п’яти зразків проса (‘Омріяне’, ‘Харківське 57’, ‘Константинівське’, ‘IR 5’, ‘Слобожанське’), використовуючи як осмотик ПЕГ 6000 Методи. Для отримання ефекту посухи використовували п’ять концентрацій розчину ПЕГ 6000: 0,0% (контроль), 11,5%, 15,3%, 19,6%, 23,5% та 28,9%, що відповідає 0,0, 115, 153, 196, 235 та 289 г розчиненої речовини в 1000 мл дистильованої води або 0,0, -1,9, -3,1, -4,8, -6,6 та -9,7 барам.Результати. Осмотичний стрес сильно пригнічував проростання насіння проса при -3,1 барах (46,8%) і -4,8 барах (28,66%) на третю добу, але на шосту добу кількість насіння, що проросло, збільшилась до 92,8% і 84,0%, відповідно. Генотипи проса значно відрізнялись за відсотком проростання у різних концентраціях осмотичного розчину ПЕГ 6000. Так, мінімальна схожість спостерігалась у сорту ‘Омріяне’ при концентрації ПЕГ 6000 -3,1, -4,8 і -6,6 барів. ‘ІR 5’, ‘Константинівське’ і ‘Харківське 57’ показали вищий потенціал проростання насіння при різних концентраціях водного стресу. Зменшення довжини коренів порівняно з контролем спостерігалось у всіх генотипів при осмотичному стресі -1,9 бар, при ПЕГ 6000 -3,1 і -4,8 бар довжина кореня коливалась від 6,6 мм до 13,5 мм на третю добу і від 25,3 до 34,7 мм – на шосту добу. ‘Слобожанське’ показало вищу середню довжину кореня при -3,1 і -4,8 бар водного стресу на третю добу – 8,7–12,5 мм і на шосту добу – 35,7–32,3 мм. При -9,7 бар концентрації ПЕГ 6000 не спостерігалось проростків проса як на третю, так і на шосту добу. ‘Харківське 57’, ‘IR 5’, ‘Слобожанське’ характеризувались довшими проростками – 23,1; 25,5; 25,6 мм, відповідно, при -4,8 бар ПЕГ 6000 на шосту добу. При -6,6 барах осмотичного стресу ‘Константинівське’ і ‘Слобожанське’ мали найменше значення відношення довжина кореня/довжина проростка – 2,58 і 2,61, відповідно. ‘Омріяне’ і ‘IR 5’ мали максимальне відхилення від одиниці – 3,54 та 3,31, відповідно.Висновки. Унаслідок дослідження в селекції на стійкість до посухи було виявлено генотипи ‘Константинівське’ і ‘Слобожанське’, які показали найвищий рівень стійкості до посухи. Сорти ‘IR 5’, ‘Константинівське’ і ‘Харківське 57’ характеризувались найвищим відсотком схожості насіння при різній концентрації ПЕГ 6000 у водному розчині. | Purpose. Осмотический стресс сильно подавлял прорастание семян проса при -3,1 барах (46,8%) и при -4,8 барах (28,66%) на третьи сутки, но на шестые сутки количество проросших семян увеличилось до 92,8% и 84,0%, соответственно. Генотипы проса значительно различались по проценту прорастания в различных концентрациях осмотического раствора ПЭГ 6000. Так, минимальная всхожесть семян наблюдалась у сорта ‘Омріяне’ при концентрации ПЭГ 6000 -3,1, -4,8 і -6,6 баров. ‘ІR 5’, ‘Константинівське’ и ‘Харківське 57’ показали более высокий потенциал прорастания семян при различных концентрациях водного стресса. Уменьшение длины корней проростков по сравнению с контролем наблюдалось у всех генотипов при осмотическом стрессе -1,9 бар, а при осмотическом стрессе -3,1 и -4,8 бар длина корня колебалась от 6,6 мм до 13,5 мм на третьи сутки и от 25,3 до 34,7 мм – на шестые сутки. ‘Слобожанське’ показало более высокую длину корня при -3,1 и -4,8 бар водного стресса на третьи сутки – 8,7–12,5 мм и на шестые сутки – 35,7–32,3 мм. При -9,7 бар не наблюдалось проростков проса как на третьи, так и на шестые сутки. ‘Харківське 57’, ‘IR 5’, ‘Слобожанське’ характеризовались более длинными проростками – 23,1 мм, 25,5 мм, 25,6 мм, соответственно, при -4,8 бар ПЭГ 6000 на шестые сутки. При -6,6 барах осмотического стресса у сортов ‘Константинівське’ и ‘Слобожанське’ наблюдали низкое соотношение длина корня/длина проростка – 2,58 и 2,61, соответственно. ‘Омріяне’ и ‘IR 5’ имели максимальное отклонение от единицы – 3,54 и 3,31, соответственно.Выводы. В результате исследования в селекции на устойчивость к засухе выделены генотипы ‘Константинівське’ и ‘Слобожанське’, которые показали высокий уровень устойчивости к засухе. Сорта ‘IR 5’, ‘Константинівське’ и ‘Харківське 57’ характеризовались высоким процентом всхожести семян при различной концентрации ПЭГ 6000 в водном растворе.

Purpose. Identification of soft winter wheat varieties and lines from the Plant Production Institute nd. a. V. Ya. Yuryev, NAAS by allelic state of Pina–D1 and Pinb-D1 genes for targeted use in the breeding for high confectionery properties of flour. Methods. Identification of the Pina-D1 and Pinb-D1 genes allelic state was performed by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) using allele-specific primer pairs. Confectionery properties of flour were evaluated by determining the quality indicators: the water absorption capacity (WAC) of the flour, trial baking of cookies and evaluation of its quality. Results. According to the results of PCR analysis, 9 samples had an allelic composition of puroindoline genes (Pina-D1a and Pinb-D1a) characteristic for soft-grained varieties. Flour of the lines 'L137-26-0-2', 'L137-26-0-3' had the best confectionery properties, it had a WAC value less than 55%, cookies diameter 85 mm, cookies height 10 mm, estimation of a surface of cookies 7– 9 points, what meets the requirements for soft-grained wheat. 76% of the samples belonged to hard-grained varieties and had the corresponding alleles of the Pina-D1 or Pinb-D1 genes. In the studied sample, Pina-D1 gene is represented by 2 alleles: Pina-D1a and Pina-D1b. 27 samples had Pina-D1a allele, which also allows them to be used in breeding programs for grain quality when crossed with soft samples, 4 ones had Pina-D1b allele. As to Pinb-D1 gene, all hard grain samples had Pinb-D1b allele, and the 'Erythrospermum S 424-1 / 14' line was heterogeneous for Pinb-D1a / Pinb-D1b. The flour of these samples had typical for hard wheat quality indicators: WAC 68% and more, cookie diameter of 60–72 mm, cookie height of 13–15 mm, the surface evaluation of 1–4 points. Conclusions. The studies allowed to differentiate the breeding material  and transfer a soft winter wheat cultivar of a confectionery use 'L137-26-0-3' ('Mazurok') which has an allelic structure of puroindolins genes (Pina-D1a and Pinb-D1a) characteristic for soft-grained varieties and high confectionery flour properties for qualification examination.

Purpose. To determine the efficiency of growing soybean varieties ‘Ustia’, ‘Cordoba’, ‘Estafeta’ depending on the influence of microfertilizers and growth regulators. Methods. Field, laboratory. Results. The article presents the results of studying the efficiency of growing different varieties of soybeans. It was found that in the cultivar ‘Ustia’ the best values of assimilation of photosynthetically active radiation were obtained for the applications of Yara Vita Mono Molitrak in the budding phase (0.25 l/ha) with growth regulator Radostym, and Yara Vita Mono Molitrak in the budding phase (0.25 l/ha) + in the flowering phase (0.25 l/ha) with two studied growth regulators. Similar patterns of the utilization rate of photosynthetic radiation were obtained for the ‘Cordoba’ and ‘Estafeta’ varieties. According to the indicators of the energy balance, the complex use of micronutrient fertilizers and growth regulators in any case pays off with an increase in the yield, which means it is energetically expedient. The maximum coefficients of energy efficiency in the ‘Ustia’, ‘Cordoba’ and ‘Estafeta’ varieties were obtained with the introduction of micronutrient fertilizers Yara Vita Mono Molitrak in the budding phase (0.25 l/ha) + in the flowering phase (0.25 l/ha) and growth regulators Biosyl and Radostym. However, the use of growth regulators separately does not always provide an economic return on investment. In particular, in the variant without Yara Vita Mono Molitrak microfertilizer, the ‘Cordoba’ variety received 28 873 UAH/ha of net profit, while the introduction of growth regulators did not pay off, since there was no significant increase in the yield, and with the use of growth regulators Biosyl and Radostym net profit was within 28824–29179 UAH/ha. In general, the use of micronutrient fertilizer Yara Vita Mono Molitrak with growth regulators Radostim and Biosyl ensu­red guaranteed yield increase. Conclusions. When gro­wing ‘Ustia’, ‘Cordoba’ and ‘Estafeta’ varieties from an energy point of view, it is better to use Yara Vita Mono Molitrak microfertilizer in the budding phase (0.25 l/ha) with the growth regulator Radostym. Under these conditions, the obtained energy efficiency ratio was 3.24; 3.41 and 3.45, and the profit was 31503, 34072 and 34649 UAH/ha, respectively

Pear ring rot disease, mainly caused by Botryosphaeria dothidea, is widespread in most pear and apple-growing regions. Mycoviruses are used for biocontrol, especially in fruit tree disease. BdCV1 (Botryosphaeria dothidea chrysovirus 1) and BdPV1 (Botryosphaeria dothidea partitivirus 1) influence the biological characteristics of B. dothidea strains. BdCV1 is a potential candidate for the control of fungal disease. Therefore, it is vital to explore interactions between B. dothidea and mycovirus to clarify the pathogenic mechanisms of B. dothidea and hypovirulence of B. dothidea in pear. A high-quality full-length genome sequence of the B. dothidea LW-Hubei isolate was obtained using Single Molecule Real-Time sequencing. It has high repeat sequence with 9.3% and DNA methylation existence in the genome. The 46.34 Mb genomes contained 14,091 predicted genes, which of 13,135 were annotated. B. dothidea was predicted to express 3833 secreted proteins. In bioinformatics analysis, 351 CAZy members, 552 transporters, 128 kinases, and 1096 proteins associated with plant-host interaction (PHI) were identified. RNA-silencing components including two endoribonuclease Dicer, four argonaute (Ago) and three RNA-dependent RNA polymerase (RdRp) molecules were identified and expressed in response to mycovirus infection. Horizontal transfer of the LW-C and LW-P strains indicated that BdCV1 induced host gene silencing in LW-C to suppress BdPV1 transmission. To investigate the role of RNA-silencing in B. dothidea defense, we constructed four small RNA libraries and sequenced B. dothidea micro-like RNAs (Bd-milRNAs) produced in response to BdCV1 and BdPV1 infection. Among these, 167 conserved and 68 candidate novel Bd-milRNAs were identified, of which 161 conserved and 20 novel Bd-milRNA were differentially expressed. WEGO analysis revealed involvement of the differentially expressed Bd-milRNA-targeted genes in metabolic process, catalytic activity, cell process and response to stress or stimulus. BdCV1 had a greater effect on the phenotype, virulence, conidiomata, vertical and horizontal transmission ability, and mycelia cellular structure biological characteristics of B. dothidea strains than BdPV1 and virus-free strains. The results obtained in this study indicate that mycovirus regulates biological processes in B. dothidea through the combined interaction of antiviral defense mediated by RNA-silencing and milRNA-mediated regulation of target gene mRNA expression.

Purpose. To determine the content of biochemical compounds in fruits of M. domestica Borkh. varietal samples, select the most promising ones for use in further breeding, and recommend for use in various directions, given the biochemical complex of signs, taste and marketability of the fruit. Methods. We used generally accepted methods for determining the biochemical composition of fruits (soluble so­lids (SSR) according to GOST (State Standard System) 29030-91, total sugars according to GOST 8756-13.87; polyphenol composition according to the method of L. I. Vigorov (1968), vitamin C according to the method of A I. Ermakov (1972); tit­rated acids – according to GOST 25555.0-82). Results. Nine cultivars of apple trees were analyzed for the biochemical composition of fruits, namely the apple tree cultivar ‘Vydubytska Plakucha’ (‘V. p.’) and various hybrids created on its basis from the collection of the fruit plant acclimatization department of the M. M. Hryshko National Botanical Gardens of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. Selected forms are sources of 1–5 important biochemical characteristics (solids content, glucose, sugars, ascorbic acid, titratable acid) and promising for use in breeding. According to the dry matter content – the lowest rate was found in hybrid ‘V. p.’ × ‘Renet Symyrenko’ (16.68%), the highest in the hybrid – ‘V. p.’ × ‘Renet Oranzhevyi Coksa’ (22.87%), rates of ascorbic acid content varied within (6.0–12.25 mg%), total sugars (10.37–18.23), acids (0.74–1,67 respectively). The most interesting for introduction and breeding are hybrids with a high content of biochemical parameters, namely: ‘V. p.’ × ‘Renet Oranzhevyi Coksa’, ‘V. p.’ × ‘Golden Delicious’ and ‘V. p.’ × ‘Parmen Zymovyi Zolotyi’. Conclusions. The content of the biochemical composition of the fruits, taste and marketability were characterized, and varietal samples of hybrids of the apple tree ‘Vydubytska Plakucha’ were distributed in the directions of use in order to improve the quality of life of the population. According to the biochemical indicators of the cluster analysis of the studied apple hybrids, close relationships were found between the three groups necessary in the future for breeding when selecting parental forms for an improved biochemical composition of the fruit (including hybrids ‘V. p.’ × ‘Renet Oranzhevyi Coksa’, ‘V. p.’ × ‘Golden Delicious’ and ‘V. p.’ × ‘Parmen Zymovyi Zolotyi’, titrated acid hybrids ‘V. p.’ × ‘Starkrimson’, ‘V. p.’ × ‘Parmen Zymovyi Zolotyi’ and ‘V. p.’ × ‘Renet Symyrenko’, tannins hybrids ‘V. p.’ × ‘Slava Peremozhtsiam’ and ‘V. p.’ × ‘Starkrimson’); and to expand the assortment of apple trees according to the planned commercial signs. Hybrids of the apple-tree cultivar ‘Vydubytska Plakucha’, created in the NBG using old and valuable modern apple-tree cultivars, indicate the promise of producing high-yielding, large-fruited varieties with a high content of biologically active substances

According to the dry matter content – the lowest rate was found in hybrid ‘V. p.’ × ‘Renet Symyrenko’ (16.68%), the highest in the hybrid – ‘V. p.’ × ‘Renet Oranzhevyi Coksa’ (22.87%), rates of ascorbic acid content varied within (6.0–12.25 mg%), total sugars (10.37–18.23), acids (0.74–1,67 respectively). The most interesting for introduction and breeding are hybrids with a high content of biochemical parameters, namely: ‘V. p.’ × ‘Renet Oranzhevyi Coksa’, ‘V. p.’ × ‘Golden Delicious’ and ‘V. p.’ × ‘Parmen Zymovyi Zolotyi’.Conclusions. The content of the biochemical composition of the fruits, taste and marketability were characterized, and varietal samples of hybrids of the apple tree ‘Vydubytska Plakucha’ were distributed in the directions of use in order to improve the quality of life of the population. According to the biochemical indicators of the cluster analysis of the studied apple hybrids, close relationships were found between the three groups necessary in the future for breeding when selecting parental forms for an improved biochemical composition of the fruit (including hybrids ‘V. p.’ × ‘Renet Oranzhevyi Coksa’, ‘V. p.’ × ‘Golden Delicious’ and ‘V. p.’ × ‘Parmen Zymovyi Zolotyi’, titrated acid hybrids ‘V. p.’ × ‘Starkrimson’, ‘V. p.’ × ‘Parmen Zymovyi Zolotyi’ and ‘V. p.’ × ‘Renet Symyrenko’, tannins hybrids ‘V. p.’ × ‘Slava Peremozhtsiam’ and ‘V. p.’ × ‘Starkrimson’); and to expand the assortment of apple trees according to the planned commercial signs. Hybrids of the apple-tree cultivar ‘Vydubytska Plakucha’, created in the NBG using old and valuable modern apple-tree cultivars, indicate the promise of producing high-yielding, large-fruited varieties with a high content of biologically active substances | Мета. Використовували загальноприйняті методики визначення біохімічного складу плодів: розчинні сухі речовини – за ГОСТ 29030-91; загальні цукри – за ГОСТ 8756-13.87; поліфенольний склад – за методикою Л. И. Вигорова (1968); вітамін С – за методикою А. И. Ермакова та ін. (1972); титровані кислоти – за ГОСТ 25555.0-82.Результати. Було проаналізовано дев’ять сортозразків яблуні за біохімічним складом плодів, а саме сорт яблуні ‘Видубицька плакуча’ (‘В. п.’) та створені на її основі різні гібриди із колекції відділу акліматизації плодових рослин Національного ботанічного саду (НБС) імені М. М. Гришка НАН України. Плоди збирали за їхньої комерційної зрілості. Добрані форми є джерелами 1–5 важливих біохімічних ознак (вміст сухих речовин, глюкози, цукрів, аскорбінової кислоти, титрованої кислоти) і перспективні для використання у селекції. За вмістом сухої речовини найнижчий показник було виявлено у гібрида ‘В. п.’ × ‘Ренет Симиренка’ (16,68%), найвищий – у гібрида ‘В. п. ’ × ‘Ренет оранжевий Кокса’ (22,87%), показники вмісту аскорбінової кислоти варіювали в межах 6,0–12,25 мг%, загальні цукри – 10,37–18,23, кислоти – 0,74–1,67, відповідно. Найцікавішими для інтродукції та селекції були гібриди із найвищим комплексом вмісту біохімічних показників, а саме: ‘В. п. ’ × ‘Ренет оранжевий Кокса’, ‘В. п.’ × ‘Голден Делішес’ та ‘В. п.’ × ‘Пармен зимовий золотий’.Висновки. Охарактеризовано вміст біохімічного складу плодів, їхні смакові і товарні якості і розподілено сортозразки гібридів яблуні ‘Видубицька плакуча’ за напрямами використання для покращення якості життя населення. За біохімічними показниками у результаті кластерного аналізу досліджених гібридів яблуні було виявлено щільні взаємозв’язки, які необхідні у майбутньому для селекції під час відбору батьківських форм на поліпшений біохімічний склад плодів (зокрема, за високим умістом сухої речовини виділено гібриди ‘В. п.’ × ‘Ренет оранжевий Кокса’, ‘В. п.’ × ‘Голден Делішес’ та ‘В. п.’ × ‘Пармен зимовий золотий’; за вмістом титрованих кислот – гібриди ‘В. п.’ × ‘Старкримсон’, ‘В. п.’ × ‘Пармен зимовий золотий’ та ‘В. п.’ × ‘Ренет Симиренка’; за вмістом дубильних речовин – гібриди ‘В. п.’ × ‘Слава Переможцям’ та ‘В. п.’ × ‘Старкримсон’) та для розширення сор­тименту яблунь за запланованими комерційними ознаками. Створені у НБС гібриди сорту яблуні ‘Видубицька плакуча’ з використанням старих та цінних сучасних сортів яблуні свідчать про перспективність отримання високоврожайних, великоплідних сортів з високим умістом біологічно активних речовин. | Цель. Определить содержание биохимических соединений в плодах сортообразцов M. domestica Borkh., отоб­рать наиболее перспективные с целью использования в дальнейшей селекции и рекомендовать для применения в различных направлениях, учитывая биохимический комплекс признаков, вкусовые и товарные качества плодов. Методы. Использовали общепринятые методики определения биохимического состава плодов (растворимые сухие вещества (ССР) – по ГОСТ 29030-91; общие сахара – по ГОСТ 8756-13.87; полифенольный состав – по методике Л. И. Вигорова (1968), витамин С – по методике А. И. Ермакова (1972); титрованные кислоты – по ГОСТ 25555.0-82). Результаты. Были проанализированы девять сортообразцов яблони по биохимическому составу плодов, а именно сорт яблони ‘Видубицька плакуча’ и созданные на ее основе различные гибриды из коллекции отдела акклиматизации плодовых растений Национального ботанического сада (НБС) имени Н. Н. Гришко НАН Украины. Отборные формы являются источниками 1–5 важных биохимических признаков (содержание сухих веществ, глюкозы, сахаров, аскорбиновой кислоты, титруемой кислоты) и перспективные для использования в селекции. По содержанию сухого вещества самый низкий показатель обнаружен у гибрида ‘В. п.’ × ‘Ренет Симиренко’ (16,68%), самый высокий – у гибрида ‘В. п.’ × ‘Ренет оранжевый Кокса’ (22,87%), показатели содержания аскорбиновой кислоты варьировали в пределах 6,0–12,25 мг%, общие сахара – 10,37–18,23, кислоты – 0,74–1,67, соответственно). Наибольший интерес для интродукции и селекции составляли гибриды с высоким комплексом содержания биохимических показателей, а именно: ‘В. п.’ × ‘Ренет оранжевый Кокса’, ‘В. п.’ × ‘Голден Делишес’ и ‘В. п.’ × ‘Пармен зимний золотой’. Выводы. Охарактеризованы содержание биохимического состава плодов, вкусовые и товарные качества и распределены сортообразцы гибридов яблони ‘Видубицька плакуча’ по направлениям использования для улучшения качества жизни населения. По биохимическим показателям в результате кластерного анализа исследованных гибридов яблони обнаружены плотные взаимосвязи трех групп, необходимых в будущем для селекции при отборе родительских форм на улучшенный биохимический состав плодов (в частности, по высокому содержанию сухого вещества выделено гибриды ‘В. п.’ × ‘Ренет оранжевый Кокса’, ‘В. п.’ × ‘Голден Делишес’ и ‘В. п.’ × ‘Пармен зимний золотой’, по содержанию тит­руемых кислот – гибриды ‘В. п.’ × ‘Старкримсон’, ‘В. п.’ × ‘Пармен зимний золотой’ и ‘В. п.’ × ‘Ренет Симиренко’ по содержанию дубильных веществ – гибриды ‘В. п.’ × ‘Слава Победителям’ и ‘В. п.’ × ‘Старкримсон’) и для расширения сортимента яблонь по запланированным коммерческим признакам. Созданные в НБС гибриды сорта яблони ‘Видубицька плакуча’ с использованием старых и ценных современных сортов яблони свидетельствуют о перспективности получения высокоурожайных, крупноплодных сортов с высоким содержанием биологически активных веществ.

Purpose. To determine the content of biochemical compounds in fruits of M. domestica Borkh. varietal samples, select the most promising ones for use in further breeding, and recommend for use in various directions, given the biochemical complex of signs, taste and marketability of the fruit. Methods. We used generally accepted methods for determining the biochemical composition of fruits (soluble so­lids (SSR) according to GOST (State Standard System) 29030-91, total sugars according to GOST 8756-13.87; polyphenol composition according to the method of L. I. Vigorov (1968), vitamin C according to the method of A I. Ermakov (1972); tit­rated acids – according to GOST 25555.0-82). Results. Nine cultivars of apple trees were analyzed for the biochemical composition of fruits, namely the apple tree cultivar ‘Vydubytska Plakucha’ (‘V. p.’) and various hybrids created on its basis from the collection of the fruit plant acclimatization department of the M. M. Hryshko National Botanical Gardens of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. Selected forms are sources of 1–5 important biochemical characteristics (solids content, glucose, sugars, ascorbic acid, titratable acid) and promising for use in breeding.
