Penilia avirostris - indicator of refreshed and eutrophic water
2003
Vukanic, V. (Institut za biologiju mora, Kotor (Serbia and Montenegro))
During the analyses of zooplankton and hydrography samples from continuous field research in monthly series during 2002 on three shallow stations (Orahovac, Morinj and near the Institute) and 4 central stations in Boka Kotorska Bay (Adriatic sea, Montenegro (Serbia&Montenegro)), exceptionally dense populations of Penilia avirostris were observed. Presence of this species in refreshed waters during the summer in other parts of Adriatic and Mediterranean, and its designation as an indicator, are reasons for presentation of these gathered results from yearly cycle in Boka Kotorska Bay.

Regner, D. | Vuksanovic, N. | Stjepcevic, B. | Joksimovic, D. (Institut za biologiju mora, Kotor (Serbia and Montenegro))
In this paper, results of seasonal investigations throughout 2002, important for evaluation of the eutrophication and bacterial pollution of the Montenegrin coastal sea were presented. It was established that the difference between warmer and colder periods of the year was highest in the part of the Montenegrin coastal sea exposed to the strongest impact of the open waters of the Southern Adriatic.

Water reservoir "Gruza" is used forthe water supply of the town of Kragujevac and it's surroundings. The paper shows a comparative overview of physical, chemical and microbiological parameters during the period of 1987-1989, and 1997-1998. Variations of physical, chemical and microbiological parameters are given in the paper.

2003
Vuksanovic, N. (Institut za biologiju mora, Kotor (Serbia and Montenegro))
Investigations of phytoplankton were done in the shallow Montenegrin coastal sea during the period from June to December, 2002. These investigations were the continuation from the preceding years. The main intention was to establish the impact of eutrophication to the quantity and composition of phytoplankton i.e. to establish the difference between areas in the bay and outside the bay. Like is previous years, the highest quantities of phytoplankton - microphytoplankton above all, were found in the area of the Boka Kotorska Bay (in Kotor Bay), Montenegro (Serbia&Montenegro). In July, 2.1 x 10**6 cells/cubic dm were found with dominant species Leptocylindrus minimus represented with 1.4 x 10**6 cells/cubic dm. In the area outside the Bay of Boka Kotorska, exposed to the impact of the open sea, values were significantly lower. In front of Budva, maximum was 1.7 x 10**5 cells/cubic dm in July. At locality exposed to the influence of the river Bojana (brackish water), similar values were established, except in October when 1.1 x 10**6 cells/cubic dm were found.

Djuraskovic, P. (Hidrometeoroloski zavod Crne Gore, Podgorica (Serbia and Montenegro)) | Kojovic, A. | Vujovic, A. | Filipovic, S.
The paper gives the contribute to analyses of the problem of Crnojevica river (Montenegro, Serbia&Montenegro) water pollution. The analyze surround measurement the next parameters: pH, conductivity, oxygen balance, sanitary parameters, content of different form of phosphorus. These measurements are carried out over five sampling series, at the seven stations, including underground flow rate in the Obod cave. Our estimations are confirmed the continuity of the Crnojevica river pollution, by municipality and strain water from Cetinje urban area. Nutrients, especially phosphates, from the pollution emission, attend conditions (together with many natural factors) for production biomass quantity. The opposite processes, the inhibition processes, exist. Phosphorus in the water attends increase level of the water pollution (over increase eutrophication degree), so the water is out of the legal class, because its usage is limited.
Mostrar más [+] Menos [-]The influence of transporting Pester field waters on eutrophication and the quality of Sjenica lake water [Serbia, Serbia&Montenegro]
2003
Obuskovic, Lj. (Institut za bioloska istrazivanja "Sinisa Stankovic", Beograd (Serbia and Montenegro))
In order to increased the amount of water in Sjenica water reservoir (because of higher production of electric energy by hydroelectrical power plant), stagnant waters of Pester field were irrigated to Vapa river and Sjenica lake. Former swamp areas and theirs life communities, represented specific biological filter in Pester high, a kind of natural lagoons, where big amounts of polluted water with nutrients were spent a processed (especially salts of P and N) were characteristic for exact area because of intensive cattle production. After the irrigation on Pester field, raw, polluted water with the large amount of nutrients by Vapa river get to the Sjenica water reservoir where they represented main cause of eutrophication and degradation of water quality in this aquatorium. Heterogenic and numerous algal association in canal of the Pester field is nearly leftover of previous specific algological flora which testifies the presence of species Chaetophora incrassata Hazen (new habitat in Serbia), the first class water indicator.

2003
Bobic, M. (Institut za vode d.o.o., Bijeljina, Republika Srpska (Bosnia and Herzegovina))
In the scope of complex physical-chemical and biological water examination of Bocac water reservoir, the river Vrbas and trbutaries Ugar and Crna Rijeka, examination of standard microbiological indexes of water quality (aerobic organotrophs at 22-26 deg C and 37 deg C, total colliforms and colliforms of fecal origin) was performed during 2002 (March-November). Number of examined microbiological parameters was mainly in the scope of the 2nd water category (beta-mesosaprobic water) with worse water quality in upstream part of the reservoir. Ugar tributary had the best water quality, while Crna Rijeka had the worst status with obvious anthropogenic influence.

The puddles Slatina and Pecena Slatina are the old meanders of the river Tamis. These ecosystems are periodicity fill with moderate salt and high alkaline water. The paper gives a review of qualitative and quantitative analysis of the algal compositions. Cyanoprokaryota and Euglenophyta are more common. All investigated parameters like compositions of lagal communities, their abundace, biomass and chlorphyll-a showed a high level of nature eutriphication in these ecosystems.

2006
Regner, D. (Institut za biologiju mora, Kotor (Montenegro)), E-mail: dregner@cg.ac.yu
In this paper the results of zooplankton investigations (and its dominant group Copepoda) were presented from the part of the Boka Kotorska Bay with more intensive circulation with the open sea, from summer of 2005. Some results from the open South Adriatic were given, too - from the frontal zone exposed to anthropogenic eutrophication of Bojana and Drim rivers, and the impact of oligotrophic South Adriatic, simultaneously.

In this paper, results of phytoplankton investigations were performed in June 2005. The investigated positions are located near the entrance of Boka Kotorska Bay: two positions in the outer part (Zanjica and Mamula island) and two positions in the inner part of the Bay (Njivice and Tivat bay). In this area the influences of the open sea and the land are expressed to the phytoplankton community. As a consequence of that quantities of phytoplankton are lower in the outer part and higher in the inner part. The most dominant species is diatom Pseudo-nitzschia delicatissima which is very frequent in the eutrophic area.
