Optimally Rating of Biogas, Compost, Vermicompost Facilities to be Installed in Yozgat Province with ARAS and COPRAS Methods Texto completo

In this study, biogas, compost and vermicompost plant location selection problem, and the optimal order of the facilities planned to be established are considered as a multi-criteria decision making problem. This study was carried out in order to determine the optimal suitability of biogas, compost and vermicompost (worm manure) production facilities obtained from pre-feasibility study in order to determine and evaluate the animal and slaughterhouse wastes that were exposed in Yozgat region. The facilities included in the ranking were determined within the scope of the in Pre-Feasibility and Investment Conformity Study Project for Recycling of Animal Wastes in the TR72 Region Sır. The total investment amount to be established in Yozgat province is $249.9 million and 15 biogas which can generate 69 MW / hour of electricity with an income of 149 million dollars / year. 11 compost production centres with a total investment value of $7 million and revenue of $4.4 million / year; Optimum ordering of 3 production centre facilities with a total investment value of 1.7 million dollars and a revenue of 1.9 million dollars / year and a total of 2.746 tons / year vermicompost was made. Ordering was performed using ARAS and COPRAS methods. The first three sequences proposed in the ranking of clusters of facilities that can be established are as follows; biogas clusters 8, 11 and 15; compost clusters 5, 9, 3; vermicompost sets 2, 1 and 3.

Bu çalışmada dünyada ve Türkiye’de önemli bir gıda ve endüstriyel hammadde kaynağı olan mısırın ekonomik gelişim seyrinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda ikincil verilerden derlenen mısırın yetiştirildiği alanı, üretim miktarı, verimliliği, üretim- tüketim dengesi, ithalat-ihracat değerleri, yurtiçi ve yurtdışı fiyatları incelenmiştir. Dünyadaki başlıca mısır üreten ülkeler ile Türkiye’de mısırın gelişim seyri iç ve dış piyasa açısından değerlendirilmiştir. Dünyada olduğu gibi Türkiye’de de yıllar itibariyle mısırın verimliliği ve üretim alanları artmış, buna bağlı olarak da hem üretim miktarı hem tüketim miktarında artış olduğu görülmüştür. Amerika Birleşik Devletleri (ABD) mısır üretimi ve tüketiminde ilk sırada yer alırken, mısır en çok hayvansal üretimde yem olarak kullanmıştır. İthalat ve ihracat değerleri incelendiğinde ABD iç tüketimini karşılama açısından başarı göstermiş ve iç tüketimini karşılamanın yanı sıra mısırın ihracatında da önemli rol almıştır. Türkiye’de ise 2016/17 üretim yılı içerisinde mısırın yeterlilik derecesi %87,80 olarak belirlenmiş ve yıllar itibariyle yeterlilik oranının arttığı belirlenmiştir. Dünyadaki nüfus artışına bağlı olarak gıda talebinde oluşacak artışlar, alternatif enerji kaynağı arayışları ve mısırın kullanım alanının genişlemesine bağlı olarak gelecek yıllarda mısıra olan talebin artmaya devam etmesi ve dolayısıyla yaratılan ekonomik değerinde artması beklenmektedir.

Asparagus officinalis is a spring vegetable contains flavonoids, amino acid derivatives, glycolic acid, tyrosine, vitamins, saponins and essential oils and it has health benefits such as prevention of cancer, mutation, inflammation, and liver damage. The aim of this study is to investigate drying kinetics of Asparagus officinalis. According to R, χ2, RMSE and Error values, the model parameters at different temperatures (70°C, 80°C, 90°C), spear thickness (1 mm, 2 mm and 3mm), and microwave power (100 W, 200 W, and 300W) were compared. Midilli and Kucuk equation was found as the best equation to describe drying of Asparagus officinalis. R values of Midilli and Kucuk Equation changed between 0.8886 and 0.9989 for hot air drying and between 0.9568 and 0.9999 for a microwave drying.

The traditional fermented food consumption has become very popular because of the increasing public concern about food additives. Lactic Acid Bacteria (LAB) species have traditionally been used as starter cultures in the production of fermented food. LAB can acquire antibiotic resistance from other bacteria in the natural environment and different resistant mechanisms via mutation. The resistance of bacteria to antibiotics is an increasingly important public health problem worldwide. In this study, antibiotic resistance of 115 Streptocoocus thermophilus and 35 Lactobacillus bulgaricus isolates obtained from traditional Turkish yogurts were tested against kanamycin, chloramphenicol, erythromycin, ampicillin, rifampicin, tetracycline, vancomycin and gentamicin using disc diffusion method. Study results showed that most strains were susceptible to all the antibiotics tested while a few of them were determined to be resistant only to kanamycin, ampicillin, erythromycin, and tetracycline. When contacted in a human body, resistant strains might transfer the related genes to the pathogenic species, which may result in devastating consequences.

To investigate some interesting functional properties of Bacillus spp. in cocoa fermentation processing, 702 strains of Bacillus sp. strains were isolated from six main Ivorian cocoa producer regions. Three mains technological and useful properties for good cocoa beans fermentation were monitored. Among the 386 pectinolytic Bacillus spp. strains, 86.79% of them were confirmed for enzymes production in liquid medium. These 335 pectinolytic Bacillus strains displayed variety of pectinolytic activity with 50.45% of them producing both pectinase and polygalacturonase (PG) enzymes. Among these 169 strains, 70% displayed both the ability to acidify the medium and to degrade the citrate. In mimic conditions of pH and temperature variations as for fermentation heap, 11 strains were able to maintain their activity ranged within 2.12 ± 0.02 to 0.41 ± 0.03 µmol/min/mg of proteins for PG and 2.36 ± 0.03 to 0.25 ± 0.03 µmol/min/mg of proteins for pectinase. Two species (T10T2 and T6HS10) identified as Bacillus subtilus and Bacillus thuringiensis, were selected as the best based on pectinase production level. They were able to continuously produce both pectinolytic enzymes in different conditions of organic acids and ethanol contents. The highlighted properties in this study and the performance of these two strains may make them best candidate as starters for cocoa fermentation control.

Bazı nane türlerinin (Mentha piperita, Menta spicata ve Mentha longifolia) tarımsal özelliklerini belirlemek amacıyla yapılan bu çalışma, 2016-2017 yıllarında Ordu Üniversitesi Ziraat Fakültesi deneme alanında, “Şansa Bağlı Parseller Deneme Planına” göre üç tekrarlamalı olarak yürütülmüştür. Araştırmada bitki boyu, taze herba verimi, drog herba verimi, taze yaprak verimi ve drog yaprak verimi, uçucu yağ verimi ve uçucu yağ oranı gibi özellikler incelenmiştir. Araştırmanın birinci yılında M. piperita ve M. spicata’da iki, M. longifolia’ da dört biçim; araştırmanın ikinci yılında M. piperita’ da bir, M. spicata’da iki, M. longifolia’ da dört biçim yapılmıştır. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre, bitki boyu bakımından türler arasında sadece ilk yıl birinci biçimde fark belirlenmiştir. Araştırmanın birinci yılında Mentha piperita’da toplam taze herba verimi 2.442,73 kg/da, toplam drog herba verimi 585,70 kg/da, toplam taze yaprak verimi 1.120,67 kg/da, toplam drog yaprak verimi 266,87 kg/da, toplam uçucu yağ verimi 6,40 lt/da olarak tespit edilmiştir. İkinci yıl ise Mentha spicata türü toplam taze herba verimi (920,37 kg/da), toplam drog herba verimi (247,93 kg/da), toplam taze yaprak verimi (502,5 kg/da) ve toplam drog yaprak verimi (149,93 kg/da) bakımından öne çıkmıştır. M. longifolia türü toplam uçucu yağ verimi bakımından 2017 araştırma yılında 3,47 lt/da ile diğer türlerin önüne geçmiş, toplam uçucu yağ oranı yönünden ise her iki araştırma yılında da (3,48 lt/da ve 3,19 lt/da) ilk sırada yer almıştır.

Irish farms are predominately and highly specialized in crops as cereals, protein crops and in dairy productions. The aim of this research was to estimate the economic efficiency in Irish farms part of the Farm Accountancy Data Network (FADN) dataset stratified in function of their own typology of productive specialization since 2004 to 2015 by a quantitative approach such as the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). Positive has been the role of inputs as financial subsidies allocated by the Common Agricultural Policy, the first and second pillar, in increasing the economic efficiency of Irish farms. Field crops farms have not had the best results in terms of the economic efficiency even if over the time, in particular during the economic crises 2008-2009, findings have not been stable with significant fluctuations and a sharply decrease of efficiency as a consequence of economic turbulences. Focusing the attention on the research outcomes in all years of investigation comparing also the different typology of farming, mixed farms and farms with animals, such as specialist cattle, sheep, goats and other grazing livestock, have had the highest levels of economic efficiency equal to 100%; by contrast Irish dairy farms have had the modest levels of economic efficiency close to 77%.

Bu çalışma, Devlet Su İşleri Müdürlüğü tarafından inşası tamamlanarak sulamaya açılan ve Daphan Sulama Derneği'ne devredilen Daphan Ovası birinci ve ikinci etap sulama projeleri alanlarının 2012-2016 yılları arasında sulama sistemi performansının değerlendirilmesi amacıyla yürütülmüştür. Araştırma sonucunda yıllık net su temin oranının sulu koşullarda bitkisel üretim yapılan alan için 7,10 ile 9,90 arasında olduğu, sulamaya açılmış toplam alanda da yıllık olarak 2,19 ile 2,60 arasında değiştiği belirlenmiştir. Sulamaya açılmış toplam alan için su temin oranları 0,93 ile 1,10 arasında olup sulu koşullarda üretim yapılan alanda 3,20 ile 4,20 aralığında değişmiştir. Sürdürülebilir sulama alanı oranı %24,53 ile %33,15 arasında gerçekleşmiş, üretim değeri oranı da %19,34 ile %26,13 arasında belirlenmiştir. Karlılık oranı 4,30 ile 9,28 arasında iken mali etkinlik oranı %17,69 ile %46,82 arasında, mali yeterlilik oranı %106 ile %145 arasında gerçekleşirken tahsilât oranı %20,66 ile %34,37 arasında kalmıştır.

In this research, a preliminary study was carried out in January and February 2014 to determine the fecundity of the whiting species in Tirebolu, Eastern Black Sea. After the total length (cm) and weight (0.01 g) of the 70 fish specimens were measured in the laboratory, they were dissected for sex determination. Using the 20 ovaries at the third and fourth maturation stages, 3 sub-samples which is 2-5% of the total ovary weight (from the anterior, median and posterior parts of the ovary) were taken from each ovary to determine the fecundity, and hydrated oocytes were counted with gravimetric method. Total fecundity, total oocytes number in the ovary were computed with the formula F=(n×G)/g. The total length-weight values were 12.6-23.3 cm (mean 17.08±2.12) and 15.59-95.72 g (mean 41.07 ± 16.75), respectively, and total length-weight relationship was computed as W=0.0073L3.024 (R2=0.94) for the 70 fishes evaluated. Fecundity was computed as 3.247-30.534 (mean: 10.139±6.953) eggs and a linear relationship between fecundity and total length was calculated as F=0.0186L4.5631 (R2=0.70). In conclusion, the fecundity results of this prelaminar study were compared with similar studies on the whiting species from Black Sea and other seas.

Fusarium culmorum is predominating causal agent of head blight (HB) and root rot (RR) in cereals worldwide. Since F. culmorum has a great level of genetic diversity and the parasexual stage is assumed for this phytopathogen, characterization of isolates from different regions is significant step in food safety and controlling the HB. In this study, it was aimed to characterize totally 37 F. culmorum isolates from Turkey via sequence related amplified polymorphism (SRAP) marker based genotyping. MAT-1/MAT-2 type assay was also used in order to reveal intraspecific variation in F. culmorum. MAT-1 and MAT-2 specific primer pairs for mating assays resulted in 210 and 260 bp bands, respectively. 11 of isolates were belonged to MAT-1 type whereas 19 samples were of MAT-2. Remaining 7 samples yielded both amplicons. Totally 9 SRAP primer sets yielded amplicons from all isolates. Genetic similarity values were ranged from 39 to 94.7%. Total band number was 127 and PCR product sizes were in the range of 0.1-2.5 kb. Amplicon numbers for individuals were ranged from 1 to 16. According to data obtained from current study, SRAP based genotyping is powerful tool for supporting the data obtained from investigations including phenotypic and agro-ecological characteristics. Findings showed that SRAP-based markers could be useful in F. culmorum characterization.
