Antimicrobial activity of disinfectants containing chlorine, iodine and bromine was tested. 0.1-1.0% solutions of the compounds examined were effective against E. coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staph. aureus, Candida albicans, Treponema hyodysenteriae, Trichophyton verrucosum and Microsporum gypseum. Antimicrobial concentrations of the disinfectants depended on the chemical composition of the product and microorganism species
