Antimicrobial activity of disinfectants containing chlorine, iodine and bromine was tested. 0.1-1.0% solutions of the compounds examined were effective against E. coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staph. aureus, Candida albicans, Treponema hyodysenteriae, Trichophyton verrucosum and Microsporum gypseum.
