Milk sampling in the "herringbone" milking parlour of the Alfa-Laval make should not be done before preliminary 5-minute mixing of milk. In the "Unilactor" milking parlour the milk samples taken using a special device showed much less fat content and higher protein content in relation to milk samples taken in a traditional way
