Experiments for five years have indicated that the proper concentration of morphactin B used for peach thinning on varieties 'Hakuho' and 'Okubo' ranged between 30-60 ppm. Spraying morphactin B enabled the fruit drop peak to happen earlier by about 2-3 weeks, encouraged the fruit skin to colour earlier, increased fruit firmness and the content of soluble solids. The factors affecting the results of morphactin were discussed.
