The technical feasibility of producing forage seeds on a commercial scale in the Caribbean is discussed. A list of the benefits and problems associated with such an undertaking is given. Aspects of pasture legumes and grasses that must be taken into account by a potential seed producer are highlighted. Government policies must be geared to increase the use of improved pastures in the region so as to effect local demand for seeds
