HPLC analysis in sugar processing

HPLC analysis of low quality sugar products has enabled sugar technologists to maintain a closer control on process movements in sugar factories, while at the same time giving useful information to cane breeders on sugar composition of new varieties of sugar cane. It is hoped that improvements in instrument sensitivity and column reproducibility will enable this technique to find an even wide application in the sugar industry.
