At the Faculty of Agriculture in Novi Sad, Serbia (Yugoslavia) selection of cornel cultivars were performed about last ten years. High quality, large mass of fruits, content of mezocarp more then 75% mass of fruit are the important parameters in cornel selection. Cornel fruits are nutritious for foodstaff like fresh or different industry products. The cornel fruits are safe food because growing is without pesticide application.
