The effect of different level of dietary corn silage or alfalfa hay on the performance of fattening lambs

This trial was conducted to investigate the effect of forage source (alfalfa hay or corn silage) and level (15 or 30 % in dry matter) on the performance of fattening lambs. In this 56-day experiment, 80 Konya Merino male lambs aged about 3.5-4 months and initially live weight 30-32 kg were used. Treatment was arranged in 2X2 factorial arrangements as a completely randomized design and lambs were housed and fed as groups
