The important differences in dry matter, total sugar and total acids were noticed among the investigated autochthonous apple varieties (Petrovaca, Voskovaca, Besjemena, Sarenika, Rumenika, Bjelija, Arapka, Pasinka, Dapsicanka, Senabija, Zelenika and Babovaca). The best chemical characteristics among the tested varieties of apples had Dapsicanka (Krstovaca) and Babovaca. Based on chemical characteristics of apple varieties it can be concluded that Dapsicanka (Krstovaca) and Babovaca are suitable for planting in agroecological conditions of Upper Polimlje, Montenegro.
