The effect of arsenic (32-96 microM) on the phosphorus content and chlorophyll (Chl) fluorescence was studied in soybean plants grown in nutrient solutions either with or without P. Increased concentrations of As led to the decrease in P concentrations in plant organs. Parameters of Chl fluorescence of soybean leaves in the presence of the different As concentrations tested did not show significant changes.
