Control de malas hierbas con nuevos herbicidas residuales sobre suelo Ferralítico Rojo, en caña de azúcar

espagnol; castillan. Se estudió el control de las malas hierbas, donde predominaba Rottboellia exaltata L. f., (zancaraña, cañuela americana, o arrocillo), con DCMU (p.c. Diurón), atrazina (p.c. Gesaprim) y un grupo de nuevos herbicidas, en aplicación pre- emergente, sobre suelo Ferralítico Rojo, en planta y primer retoño de caña de azúcar. Los mejores resultados fueron obtenidos con 17623 RP a 2 kg/ha p.a. (VT 2569 a 5l/ha), seguido de Metribuzín o B 94337 a 2,1 kg/ ha p.a. (Sencor 3 kg/ha) y GS 14259 a 4 y 3 kg/ha p.a. (Caragard a 8 y 6 kg/ha). Inferior control produjeron GS 14254 a 4 kg/ha p.a. (Etazina 8 kg/ha), DCMU a 4,8 kg/ha p.a. (Diurón 6 kg/ha) y un control casi nulo produjo atrazina a 4,8 kg/ha p.a. (Gesaprim 6 kg/ha). El 17623 RP, que produjo el mejor control general, no controló, sin embargo, a las dicotiledóneas presentes y además, fue el único herbicida que produjo síntomas de daños en el cultivo de la variedad B4362, los cuales fueron ligeros, efímeros y sin efecto en el crecimiento, ahijamiento y cosecha del mismo.

(Gesaprim 6 kg/ ha) produced an almost null control. 17623 RP, produced the best general control; nevertheless, it did not control the dicotyledonous studied and it was the only herbicide that produced symptoms of damage in the culture of B 4362 variety, which were unimportant, ephemeral, and did not affect the growth, seedling and harvesting.
