Study on the kidney, liver and meat samples from pigs fattened in the Cracow district or far than 35 km distance from Cracow was carried out. Significantly higher content of Pb and Cd in pig kidneys and livers from the Cracow district was stated. The lead and cadmium content in the meat did not exceed 0.1 mg in 1 kg. The content of Cu, Zn and Fe within limits in studied samples was observed.
