The main question of the investigations was seeking for the social groups, in which hunger and malnutrition would occur as well as an attempt to estimate the covering degree of the food requirements under conditions of lowered consumption level of most food articles. Three methods can be applied in the investigations on food requirements: normative, statistico-genetical and distance one.
