Imazethapyr can control dodder (Cuscuta spp.) infestation in faba bean [Vicia faba]

Pre-emergence application of the herbicide imazethapyr at 75 g a.i./ha was found highly effective in controlling Cuscuta spp. on faba bean (Vicia faba L.). Also, a post-emergence application of imazethapyr at 20 g a.i./ha at the pre-flowering stage of faba bean provided good control of Cuscuta infestation without exhibiting and phytotoxicity. This is the first report on the effectiveness of imazethapyr to control Cuscuta in faba bean
