The carbohydrate composition of 6 categories of candy bars for fructose, glucose, sucrose, maltose, and lactose is reported. Results are tabulated. The sucrose content ranges from 19.2% to 56.06%; the presence of corn syrup use is evident from this update on the carbohydrate composition of a large number of candy bars. (kbc)
