Does the salt content of early feedings affect blood pressure in later life?
1996
Holliday, M.
In this review, the author examines the hypothesis that a population of hypertension-prone children is more likely to become clinically hypertensive if salt intake in infancy and childhood is high. Evidence relevant to this hypothesis comes from epidemiologic observations and studies in salt-sensitive and spontaneously hypertensive rats.
