New source of leaf meal for poultry-anabiong (Trema orientalis (Linn) Blume) tree [study conducted in the Philippines]
1981
Castillo, L.S. | Gerpacio, A.L. | Pascual, F.Sd.
Anabiong leaf meals were used in five experiments-three with broilers, the fourth on egg yolk pigmentation, and the fifth on egg production. Those experiments conclusively show that anabiong leaf meal do not have toxic or inhibitory factors for broilers or egg production. Anabiong tree is widely distributed in the Philippines and other Southeast Asian countries. It is a pioneer volunteer and quick growing tree in clearings or second growth-forest.
