[About the germination of citrus seeds. 3: Germinability, polyembryony, and albinism in Citrus aurantium L. in relation to the number of the seeds in the segments]

Английский. The behaviour of Citrus aurantium L. seeds in relation to their number in the segments was observed. Seeds from segments containing 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 seeds (A, B, C, D, E, and F thesis respectively) were considerated. As parameters germinability, polyembryony and albinism were taken. While germinability of the seeds increased from 1 to 3 seed/segment and then decreased (75.00, 89.45, 92.78, 90.55, and 86.00%), polyembryony increased until 5 seed/segment and then dramatically dropped 33.33, 38.88, 41.12, 47.78, 55.00 and 28.66%. Both the average germination time (A.G.T.) and the Kotowski coefficient of velocity (C.V.) varied slightly and irregularly among these even though 5 seed/segment gave the lowest A.G.T. (35.69) and the highest C.V. (2.80). Finally albinism was observed only on plants from 3, 4, and 5 seed/segment (0.83, 1.81, and 0.90%).

итальянский. Sui semi di Arancio amaro (Citrus aurantium L.) e stata effettuata una prova mirante a chiarire il comportamento di essi in relazione al loro numero nello spicchio. Sono stati messi a confronto 6 gruppi di semi derivanti da spicchi che ne contenevano 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 e 6, formando le tesi A, B, C, D, E ed F; i parametri presi in esame riguardano l'energia germinativa, il potere germinativo, la poliembrionia e l'albinismo. La percentuale di germinabilita dei semi e andata crescendo da 1 a 3 semi per spicchio (75,00; 89,45; 92,78; 90,55; 86,00), la poliembrionia e andata aumentando sino a 5 semi per spicchio ed e scesa bruscamente nei semi 6 per spicchio (33,33; 38,88; 41,12; 47,78; 55,00; 28,66) sempre in percento. L'energia germinativa ha dato valori significativi all'analisi della varianza solo come TMG e fra le tesi E (5 semi per spicchio) ed F (6 semi per spicchio) con valori maggiori nella prima, 35,69. L'albinismo si e presentato nei semi derivanti 3, 4 et 5 semi per spicchio con valori rispettivamente di 0,83%, 1,81% e 0,90%.
